A brief intro...
Now an old un', started the soul scene in 1975 at The Ebor Suite at The Mecca in York. I still look to where it was when I drive past!
Then went to Cleethorpes until it closed in 1976, I loved that place, it was and still is THE BEST! Also went to Blackpool Mecca, Samanthas Sheffield, Bailey's Sheffield, only once to The Casino in 1975, never went back until late 1977. Also liked The Unity at Wakefield, Ritz Manchester.
Started Soul nights and all dayers at Jaspers in 1979 until 1981 with Gary Hepworth, and Rudies at Scarborough, Reflections at Bradford with Derek, The Oval Ball in York, but left the scene in 1983.
Sold two extensive record collections to John Manship & Pat Brady, most of which I now regret! All of my survivors are on my Youtube channel .
