When you say "old style acetate", what does that mean?

Okay Tone, just being thorough.

Pookie Hudson This Gets To Me Is This A Genuine Copy?
What's this worth these days? I know somebody who has just bought one for less than $10 and they'll be looking to sell it I think?

British Record Shop Archive
They look more like 78s and Lps to me Craig. And as such, a little before my time. The Old Swan branch of Music Box was one of my main haunts. Had many a crackin' UK labelled record from there. Other than that, apart from one or two other record shops that sold new releases I can't remember the names of, it was Liverpool's 2nd hand record shops and junk shops every weekend that held my attention throughout the late 60s and early 70s.

How about ABC's Dot Records ABC's Dunhill ABC's Impulse ABC's Apt ABC's Tangerine None of these subsidiaries either? I have no reason to suspect it would be but you never know.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
Having not heard the Tommy Roe 'original', my favourite is definitely the Jimmy Hughes. But I'd love to hear Tommy Roe's rendition.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
But was it? Or are there only Demos?

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
Wonder if it actually got released? Plus, can't find it in the US ABC / ABC Paramount listings? I knew he wrote it Tone but I read somewhere that he didn't bother to record it himself. Obviously, that was wrong. A scan and sound file would be absolutely wonderful if at all possible?

Thanks garethx, I will.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
In that case, according to the scans above, mine's defo an issue. Interesting note. This Jimmy Hughes release on Fame was distributed by Vee Jay, whereas the others, and I'm not saying all of them, were distributed by Atco / Atlantic.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
I've not heard the Tommy Roe version either. Wonder how it compares?
-
Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
I'd have to check but I think mine might be an issue?

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
That's right. But he wasn't very successful and took it bad. Go to Wiki for a bit more info.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
Have you listened to it yet? And he's a fellow Scouser.

Jimmy Hughes On Fame F-1002
Beautiful record. Have you heard the cover version by Tommy Quickly on UK Piccadilly?

At first glance, I thought it was a 78. Greek?

Michael Cox - Uk Parlaphone - I'll Always Love You
Don't know that one? How about a personal message sound file of it?

Michael Cox - Uk Parlaphone - I'll Always Love You
The Dan Patrick is an oddity, in that it's a member of the Soul Supply Series on Stateside and doesn't / didn't sound like a soul record to me, well not the last time I played it. Pretty obscure I'd say. Is it in good nick?

Royal Mail - Problems
I've heard that value is determined by purchase price, providing you've got a receipt.
-
Royal Mail - Problems
If that's the case, can the receiver say the record was never received, because there is no signature, or a signature that's not theirs and claim compensation for an item that they say never arrived?

Gene Mcdaniels - Forgotten Man - Anyone Ever Seen A Uk Copy?
I've never seen or heard of one either Pete.

Dionne Warwick - Wishin' And Hopin' - Uk Stateside
Stateside was the UK label for Scepter recordings at that time. That's all I know Joe.
