  1. west coast styrene
  2. no sharon scott cd only i think
  3. very possible chalky,,,but i think maybe he cut this independently very end of 65 poss early 66 tying in with gareth`s post ( and got mugged by the sound of things) ....but then litterally months later motown came knocking and he joined the contours sometime between apr /june66, he doent seem to be on any contours recordings before this only the ones recorded in a 15 month period (june66 to sept 67) after which they were dropped by motown and split...then he had another stroke of luck
  4. is there not a chance he recorded this before he joined motown.....he was in he contours 66 to 68 ,, he wrote the celebrities on boss (ydttt) in 1965.. i know we all seem to go for this `moonlighting` but is it not possible he made it independently before he joined berry gordy
  5. didnt AOML have a drum roll intro..,,seems to be missing from the boot..............dave t
  6. but its one of the main reasons that lends to my theory,,,,,
  7. but it is 100% edited and not extended
  8. the vinyl is totally different i know that much,,,i had tim browns copy in my hands when it was the only `known` copyi... goin away to work i can post the fairmount details later in the week if no one beats me to it, seeing as they as different versions the plate would be different i`d say..maybe john parker can give the deadwax details on his copy..or perhaps someone has an actual rouser copy as that might even be different to johns
  9. bob the test press john parker has a white label but with the (f1017) catalogue number but plays the version with the sax break edited so it seems it was made for the rouser release.. its not a fairmount test press as it states no label only a cat number
  10. my pleasure kev
  11. cant fault you for puttin em on ebay..theres enuff berks on there to buy em..a fool and his money etc
  12. click share...then click embed put ticks in the `use old embed code` then copy and paste,,,,if that dont work things have changed again
  13. you have to embed them now kev
  14. john parker could well be smiling now as a rouser test press is probably worth 1k more than a fairmount test press
  15. probably doesnt mean anything but it was franks 2nd release on the fairmount label..she kissed me is (f1012) also a quaker town production

wow i posted a while back that this is quite a tough 45.........summertime groove b/w dreamin 1996 surfside..blue vinyl..good luck in your search paul
  18. wow... that would make it rouser test pressing /promo john i`ll have to have a look at it next time i see you..
  19. dont be confused by the fact that early fairmount releases say 1963 on them like cameo and parkway releases that just when the labels were patented ...
  20. f 1016 is a cover of wooley bully by lonnie young blood who had 3 releases on faiirmount.. 1 in 65 & 2 in 66.......i think because of my heart is late 1966 the label folded late 67
  21. and there was a want on here recently for spider
  22. spider a bargain i think...................the hiss is just down to the poor vinyl its on i think andy
  23. i`m certain ive seen one john..black not the coloured issue..but its the same scenario when years ago i saw a sam dees lonely for you promo only for people to say..`.no issue only` you question yourself..did i see that?.. another one was the winstons on curtom..aint nothin like a little lovin ..only on the issue..promo`s double sided and ive been justified with the later two........100%....err 99%lol i seen it..but i dont have it and cant find a picture................. £300 for i clean promo i think
  24. also i would like to add this is just my take on things as i see it and have no concrete evidence..but then again if we had concrete evidence to say rouser was 1st naturally i`d have a rethink
  25. it has the fairmount catalogue number bob....if it were just a local 1st issue it would have had its own number..remember fairmount was a decent label national distributed..also it was edited down when its clearly the same take.fairmount went out of business when cameo bit the dust 18 months after (f1017) was issued........i know normally it would be natural to think small local label picked up by bigger label for national distribution but i dont think thats the case with this 45..a bit like the lee williams stuff on lost nite..remember frank had other releases on fairmount also......i also believe that tommy rouse put it out and frank wasnt interested in it and wanted to move forward not backwards and had the release pulled
