  1. I had a Bell demo and Irish Greg had a Southern Artists copy...a right pair at the time of the Capitol Soul Club (By the way and off on a tangent, Jimmy Church's superb Northern track, 'Right on time' also came out on Southern Artists as well as SS7...there's one prime for reactivation!)

  10. My original 'red swirl' Bell Sound stamped promo, and the plain 'block' design WD (which I found recently and is for sale!) Looking forward to seeing a scan of an original yellow label stock copy!
  11. Here's a pic of the Japanese 7" EP...nice, real nice

Soulful, but not Northern-danceable, if you know what I mean?!
  13. Here's Tal on the cover of his (rare!) solo LP.
  14. Yep...I have a tape somewhere with him doing just that in '81...seem to recall he followed it with DeeDee Sharpe's 'Happy 'bout the whole thing'
  15. This Milton Wright 45 isn't too shabby either...only on the stock copies, as the demos have 'Keep it up' on both sides

Good listing...one of the missing numbers is #734 by The Artistics...I have a spare for sale at a mere £10 +P&P. >>> Artistics - HERE <<<
  17. Must admit I have a Toys 7" EP on Japanese Stateside featuring IGAM. Any other releases Worldwide?
  18. OK, off on a tangent and I am talking about well-known tunes rather than the more recent discoveries: I think the 'foreign' (-ie non US/UK) label release rarities, will come into play more and more with collectors in the future, as the search for genuinely rare discs continues. I'm not talking about the well-documented Continental European releases, but some of the Australian, Argentinian, Indian, Greek and Japanese pressed discs. Their genuine rarity can't be denied with their certainly very limited pressing runs...now add their eye-catching label designs and sleeves...they certainly add a certain sparkle to any collection. How many Japanese copies of Lada Edmund Jr's 'The Larue' have you ever seen?! Now back to the chat about the rare US releases!
  19. I now have a spare Japanese copy for a bargain £15 +P&P, if anyone fancies it? >>> HERE <<<
  20. I found a 'no-swirl / block-design WD' in Japan a month or so ago...in amongst copies of pretty much every release on the label...shocked I was! (For sale if anyone fancies it?)
  21. As the topic asks, which recording came first...the Crystals (UA) or the Toys (Dynovoice)? Also, did the Toys version appear on a US 7"?
  22. There are also originals without the Mike Terry credit...and personally I think they are rarer than the ones with his name on 'em.
