  3. I had one for sale on Ebay at the same time, only got £36.00
  4. Like sex but without all the hard work
  5. I think it went for about £65.00..............................
  6. Steve Gonna talk to Gilbert G tonight, he's a matrix maniac "I'll Be Bark"........................
  7. Pete if SABAM has sanctioned it then it's a legitimate release here too.
  8. It is a legitimate issue, I see SABAM on it, that's the "Socit d'Auteurs Belge - Belgische Auteurs Maatschappij". So they've authorised it. So I guess it really is like that Chubby Checker on Spanish London.
  9. Chris L replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Yes I think you did, just got one today for £109.00 compensation for an expensive Chubby Checker
  10. Ringleaders - Baby what has happened to our love.............................
  11. Going a bit off topic, this is a great little video : https://vimeo.com/24079101
  12. D'you know, the release itself could be legit but the company pressing the actual record and using the Tollie label could well be "fake" and therefore a 1/2 boot !!
  13. Yes probably, not sure that's the case in Holland but certainly is in Portugal.
  14. Belgian law says that after a certain period music is in the public domain, that being the case a lot of stuff gets an official release. No that Chubby Checker is legit, bad comparison on my side.
  15. Well certainly we Brits would call it a re-issue, probably from the 70s Gilbert now plays a look-a-like and keeps his original tucked away. Belgium uses a loophole in the law to issue records and CDs that otherwise couldn't released (as does Portugal). It's certainly not legit like my Belgian Epic Major Lance or Olivier Bille's Belgian Immediate PP Arnold more like that Spanish Chubby Checker.....................aah well.............
  16. Sam Fletcher was originally a "Belgian Popcorn" discovery, played by Gilbert Govaert in the very early 70s. It is a Belgian release, the text is in Dutch(Flemish) it would take me longer than the 6 hours to find out it's authenticty, so someone's going to get a bargain or a re-release !!
  17. Makes perfect sense, the only white Roulette demos I had/have had a thick black broken line going round the label.
  18. Oh yeah ! didn't see that, does it actually get played anywhere ?
  19. Looks like I found me a UK PYE copy, interesting to see the US issues, two styles of Roulette label. The traditional " red and yellow and the newer plain red label, plus two types of demos, one white and the other like an issue but with DJ Copy printed on it.
  20. Thanks for the info, looks like I've found me a UK PYE copy........................
  21. MAGIC NIGHT If You And I Had Never Met, I assume a US recording ? Issued on Roulette in the US and PYE in the UK. How much do they go for and what's it best (for resale should that be necessary) to get on US or UK ? Recorded in 1975 , Sounds like a 80s for sure................. thanks
