Johnny Howard - 'Chase is on' was from a soul pack...........
  2. What I do is type e-mail address onto a Word document, make a jpeg of and send in a message as a photo, long winded but works.
  3. I get loads of spam mails but this was a real attempt to "buy" something from me, didn't ask me click a link or divulge any info, the "buyer" thought they'd get something without having to pay for it. Even had the gaul to ask if I'd shipped it !! I gave him a choice reply and haven't heard anything since, wonder why.
  4. Almost had a bit of a scare yesterday. I sold an item and the person said he'd pay by Paypal, I gave him the Paypal address. The usual message appeared "So & So has paid you £400" on the e-mail page. So I packed item and got ready to tell buyer money had arrived. I read the note again and something wasn't quite right. It said that the money was "pending" until I shipped the item and mailed through the tracking number, I'd never heard that before. So I checked my Paypal account and there was nothing there, including the Pending payment. Forwarded e-mail to Paypal who confirmed it was a scam. I guess I've sold thousands of things via Paypal but never really bothered to check if the money had actually arrived on the account. Please be careful. Oh yes, Ebay, they don't allow you to send an e-mail address via the messaging which can be a bit frustrating but you can put it on your auction page for whole world to see. Ah well, keeps everyone busy..................
  5. "Sweet Darlin" & "Looking for you" will consider any reasonable condition (and price).
  6. I haven't read all the posts on this thread but there is a body of opinion that "Heartaches away" by Christine Cooper should have been, possibly also Sweet Darlin' by Jimmey Soul Clark
  7. I've always been of the opinion that the music changed come 1968/69, from that Motownesque/Stax-Atantic soul to a more funky protest type. The atmosphere of "we can do anything" got replaced during the Vietnam war by a more somber tone, something that got reflected in the music. Soul as we know it pretty much disappeared as Disco stuff started to arrive, despite the efforts of Dakar, Lizard and Invictus/Hot Wax. The record labels didn't/couldn't adapt fast enough.
  8. I have a vinyl copy like that, thing is it looks like a boot I once had, shame I don't have it to compare. Have to say label looks a bit Mickey Mouse.
  9. RIP James Wright - Spellbinders View full article
  10. James Wright founding member of the Spellbinders passed away this morning. A talented singer and writer James like most of his generation he never saw the financial fruits of his work. He had been unwell for some time and has succumbed to injuries sustained during a fire at his apartment some months ago. James wrote "I need your love" on the magnificent Spellbinders album "The Magic of the Spellbinders". I had the honour of meeting and interviewing him some years ago, he was a real gent that told the most wonderful stories of his time with the Spellbinders (and other groups) he will be sorely missed.
  11. It's a 100% legitimate 1967 release.
  12. I don't think so.......................................... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291800712989?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. I've seen that too, looks like all demos were without the "A"
  14. An original mint copy of this iconic record. £120.00 including shipping within the EEU.
  15. I hadn't noticed this before, I have 2 copies one has only has "Little Togetherness" and doesn't have the "A" they're both original styrene copies bought from reputable people in the USA when I was there.
  16. US or UK don't mind, not fussed about condition, should play OK though.
  17. Always a good crowd puller
  18. In my "once every ten years" DJ outing I do play it, good ones on UK Immediate seem to go for high prices, I sold one with a repaired centre for more than £200.
  19. This is cute, it says "cut out for use in Juke box"
  20. Yes the Italian issue is an original and legitimate release. That French EP is actually on Columbia and I do believe there's a Belgian DJ who owns a Belgian Immediate pink demo. Surely that's reason enough to want to stay in the EEU ?
  21. Also came out on a French EP, if I'm not mistaken on RCA, I've had a couple of them. Well worth the low price they go for is Junie Russo's version. Good luck.
  22. On original demo at about £100 - 120, the EP, an original about £40 - 50 if with pic sleeve less of not.
  23. Wonderful Belle Epoque architecture in Blankenberge, Belgium.
  24. Taken on the evening of our 35th wedding anniversary from the restaurant looking out onto the beach.
