Try and sit still...........................

With the amount of people listing records as "Soul", "R & B" "Northern Soul" when you try and filter you still end up with about 3 - 4000 records to trawl through. A lot of people rank them "Highest First" and that means your 99pence records are way, way down anyones search list. Consider putting one or two hgher priced records for sale together with a message to potential buyers to view your other items. All the data shows that more expensive records are getting even more expensive, my experience has been I've been able to sell at 25 - 30% more than what I paid (recent purchases) a record I bought on Ebay for £140.00 , I sold for over £300, one I bought for £100.00 sold for £150.00 and another I bought for £245.00 sold for £355.00. All indications point to there are less buyers out there more interested in the bigger records. Anyway good luck.

I have now shipped some 70+ records using these carton mailers. They are very marginal, I decided only to ship vinyl records, no styrene. If you put too much carton stiffeners in the sleeve it becomes very difficult to get the record out afterwards. I haven't had any complaints from customers so I'm assuming they've arrived all OK. I did make my own stiffeners from carboard I got from the local supermarket, it was a bit trial and error. I have bought records from UK sellers who also use mailers, they've tended to be larger in size making it easier to increase the stiffeners so once this lot used up I'll trawl around to see what I can find.

I'm happy with prices, as I paid less for all of them than I'm selling with one exception. Thing is I bought a whole gaggle of stuff from a bloke in the US and ended up with 2 James Barnetts, 3 Steinways, 2 Willie Kendricks, etc. My Ebay sales did even better, I can't believe the prices I got there

It's always dangerous to generalise but would it be fair to say that only promos has the three XXX on the play side ? I have seen promos without them, obscure-ish record that wouldn't warrant being booted. Never seen an ordinary issue with those crosses. Sound about right ?
