It is a tough call and I'm going through the process of selling my Northern bits. I took the decision that with all of the CD's that have been released over the last few years and the music I have digitised, I can hear them on my Ipod or CD whenever I want. Although there is nothing better than holding the disc in your hand, but in my case they were all boxed up collecting dust. I am using the money from the sales to buy Deep, 70's and 80's tunes that you don't hear out or have not been released on CD and probably never will. I thought: Did I need the money and would I (potentially) be able to buy them back, and I think that I will be able to buy them back (although probably at a premium to what I originally paid/sold them for). I think a big part of collecting is searching out for records, which I still enjoy doing. If you need to sell due to personal issues, then sell. Because at then end of the day, it's only a bit of plastic and I know that I would you rather have a house and a marriage rather than a brilliant collection.
  9. Tone/Pete, Thanks for that, seems like mines a real one. You can always rely on the knowledge of board members. Regards, John
  10. Hi, I've got a WD of this and have been reading that the boots of this were also WD's How can you tell the boot from the original demo. Were real demo's not white? Regards, John
  11. Hi, Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the two lable designs? Different mixes, 1st press/2nd press, price? Regards, John
  12. Hi, Can anyone tell me if this was ever booted/repressed? If not what is the current market price? Regards, John
  13. Is Barbara Lynn still alive? and/or has shee been over? She's has consistently recorded good stuffl from the 60's to the 90's
  14. In 89 he was involved with Anthony White covering Walk Away from Love (Cooltempo), which they really tried to push at "Stomp" at Dingwalls Good artist, good song, but put together, IMO not a good combination.

    Giant - 704 I think it's about 67/68
  16. Ken, Thanks for the offer, but it's a bit toppy for me as dealers are quoting £15-20 for the re-press, with one on John's site for £20. Regards, John
  17. I've been on a real 80's kick, since buying again and I thought this was a great record when I first heard Ian Clark play it. You see the re-presses around quite cheaply, but can anyone give me more information on the original. How many known copies are there, will I have to sell my house to get one or will I ever get one? What are the differences between the original and the re-press. Many thanks, John

To my knowledge I think it's a CD only track, from the John Edwards - A Careful Man, Kent CD. I think the only unreleased track that got issued on a 45 from that set was Tin Man b/w Bill Brandons Streets Got My Lady.

  23. I've have a copy of Carl Carlton - So What, which I bought at near the end of a 100 club nighter, about 15 years ago. It has always been in the back of my mind that it may be a boot. Was this booted and if so, how can you tell the original from the boot? Regards, John
  24. Do you still have the Albert Jones? Regards, John
  25. I stand corrected, well worth a buy
