  1. There have been quite a few being dripped out on ebay over the last few months, but I don't know if it is the same seller John
  2. Insired by the album only CD swap, I've been digging around in my records and have been looking for artists/groups who have both albums and singles on the same lable. I've been looking for singles not included on any of their albums. This could be that follow up single to the album flopped and lead to the artist/group being dropped or the artist died. I've come up with a few, how many more are there? There must be loads... Montclairs - Hung up on your love - Paula Darrell Banks - I'm the one who loves you - Volt Charlie Jones - Crazy over you - Sum-ma (it's not on any I know of, if anyone does know if it's on one I'd be greatful of any info on this) Garland Green - Don't let love walk out on me - RCA John Byrd - Theres No Cold In Me - 20th Century Bottom and Co - Gonna Fina A True Love - Motown, although their album came out on Gordy Anthony White - Hey Baby - PIR Barrino Brothers - I Shall Not be Moved - Invictus Bobby Patterson - What Goes Around Comes Around - Paula Prince Gidion - I'm So Lucky - Hangar 18 ( I think he died) Terry Callier - Look At Me Now - Cadet Brother By Choice - Oh, Darlin' - ALA
  3. Does anyone have an mp3 of this I can have, please. I don't know if the speed and the TK are different mixes? As the releases are probably 10 years apart. Regards, John
  4. Some good Xmas tunes for me are: Randy Brown - At Christmas Time Lonnie Hill - Cold winter in the Ghetto James Brown - Hey America (Funk) Funky Christmas - Cotililion (Inc Joh Edwards, Luther, Margie Joseph, Impressions, etc..) This Christmas - Donny Hathaway Carla Thomas - All I Want For Christmas Is You/Gee Whiz It's Christmas Luther Vandross - Home for Christmas A Christmas Gift from Phil Spectre (Inc Darlene Love/Bob B Soxx, Ronettes & Crystals)

  8. Hi, I recently re-read an article on Charles Russell's - It Aint Easy in an old copy of voices and I don't remember if I've ever heard it. Can anyone please post up a clip of it? I'm also interested in hearing what the difference is between the Phyche and Bionic releases. Regards, John
  9. I must concur with Billy Bland, awsome. Members of Staff - Stop the Bells - Evejim. Hopefully a tune no-one would ever want to hear at a wedding.

It is a tough call and I'm going through the process of selling my Northern bits. I took the decision that with all of the CD's that have been released over the last few years and the music I have digitised, I can hear them on my Ipod or CD whenever I want. Although there is nothing better than holding the disc in your hand, but in my case they were all boxed up collecting dust. I am using the money from the sales to buy Deep, 70's and 80's tunes that you don't hear out or have not been released on CD and probably never will. I thought: Did I need the money and would I (potentially) be able to buy them back, and I think that I will be able to buy them back (although probably at a premium to what I originally paid/sold them for). I think a big part of collecting is searching out for records, which I still enjoy doing. If you need to sell due to personal issues, then sell. Because at then end of the day, it's only a bit of plastic and I know that I would you rather have a house and a marriage rather than a brilliant collection.
  12. Tone/Pete, Thanks for that, seems like mines a real one. You can always rely on the knowledge of board members. Regards, John
  13. Hi, I've got a WD of this and have been reading that the boots of this were also WD's How can you tell the boot from the original demo. Were real demo's not white? Regards, John
  14. Hi, Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the two lable designs? Different mixes, 1st press/2nd press, price? Regards, John
  15. Hi, Can anyone tell me if this was ever booted/repressed? If not what is the current market price? Regards, John
  16. Is Barbara Lynn still alive? and/or has shee been over? She's has consistently recorded good stuffl from the 60's to the 90's
  17. In 89 he was involved with Anthony White covering Walk Away from Love (Cooltempo), which they really tried to push at "Stomp" at Dingwalls Good artist, good song, but put together, IMO not a good combination.

    Giant - 704 I think it's about 67/68
  19. Ken, Thanks for the offer, but it's a bit toppy for me as dealers are quoting £15-20 for the re-press, with one on John's site for £20. Regards, John
  20. I've been on a real 80's kick, since buying again and I thought this was a great record when I first heard Ian Clark play it. You see the re-presses around quite cheaply, but can anyone give me more information on the original. How many known copies are there, will I have to sell my house to get one or will I ever get one? What are the differences between the original and the re-press. Many thanks, John
  21. I have some tunes on ebay. https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZcalbrandonQQhtZ-1 Regards, John

To my knowledge I think it's a CD only track, from the John Edwards - A Careful Man, Kent CD. I think the only unreleased track that got issued on a 45 from that set was Tin Man b/w Bill Brandons Streets Got My Lady.
