Hamilton Movement "she's Gone"
Sorry.....I can see the confusion........that last post was relative to the thread elsewhere, not anything you'd said! Cheers, Mark R

Hamilton Movement "she's Gone"
I also like the bit about being happy to come on hear and say it's ordinary at best!! Like I'm supposed to be concerned about my opinion agreeing with others? Not this man! LOL Cheers, Mark R

Hamilton Movement "she's Gone"
Really interesting to come on and read that Pete, because having posted earlier I was reflecting on this, and whilst I now can't get the hook out of my head, I couldn't sing the verses in my head......haven't a clue, which probably says it all for me! Cheers, Mark R

Hamilton Movement "she's Gone"
I would say it's grown on me slightly since first hearing it (Yarmouth?) many years ago, but I still don'tt quite get the fuss......and probably go along with the "if it wasn't rare....." statement. And it's ironic that this is used as an example to define a soul fan from a NS fan, because I'm very definitely the former but if I posted an example those on here who say they're soul fans would almost certainly disagree with my choice!! All things are relative and some on here only think it's soul if it's pre 1980 or if it's new, sounds old! . It's a bit of a mess of a record with a memorable intro and hook...... Cheers, Mark R

The Film - Reviews
Funny you should mention Eddie mate........the one thing that struck me whilst watching the film was that the Precisions at £10 matches Eddie at £7k all the way for me! You can guess which one I have in a box and which I don't! Funny old game innit! Cheers, Mark R

The Film - Reviews
I thought it was great......so much of it resonated with me. One question though - was there really much swearing on a mic in 70's? I mean I know what Keb was like in the 80's and I noted that Guy was DJ coach to the film (as an aside this pleased me as I've said publicly before that IMHO there was no better deliverer of a gritty 69's tune), but was this really prevalant in the 70's. Anyway, I digress. What a triumph! Cheers, Mark R

Looking For Marvin?
Was first to be found here, unless someone can tell me different........... Different take to the 12" release though.........not played 'em back to back but I think I prefer the CD version actually! Nice to have a record like this on the plastic though........ Cheers, Mark R

Looking For Marvin?
Problem was Dave D, that no one was importing them, so I bought one from USA and had to stand their postage costs.......and we all know how much that can be these days. £10 for the record and £10 for postage, so mine cost £20 all told. That makes £17 a bargain, and even more so against the Soul Source prices!! It's a new release and just needs a bit of legwork to find one............no need to succumb to the "I have a spare of......" ..............................for now! Cheers, Mark R

Secret/hidden Tracks On Cds
Not so much a hidden track, as simply just not credited on the CD cover, with a missing track number. It is credited in the booklet but that wouldn't help when looking at a new sealed CD copy back in the day!! Thanks to Mr. Searling if you kept a keen eye on Soul Sauce in B&S back then it didn't go unnoticed. A real fave of mine, though not a 'dancer'.... Secret/hidden Tracks On Cds
I thought it was actually Sepphire (e not a), but of course it could be neither of the above, in the same was that Allesure on the About Time comp CD wasn't by Allesure at all! I'm off to get the YouTube link for my favourite "mystery track"........ Cheers, Mark R

Mark R's Rugby All Niter Main Room Spins
Hi Sian, probably best separate if only because I can't change the thread title so it won't do the others justice! Why don't you start a new thread "Rugby playlists" and put them all in it, including mine? Cheers, Mark R

Mark R's Rugby All Niter Main Room Spins
Thanks Chalky, and it us nice to see it all in the main room. As someone who is an upfront modern DJ who still appreciates great 60's & 70's you can imagine the satisfaction I get from being able to have a set like that accepted in such a setting. Cheers, Mark R
