Good stuff. After Carl Holmes got played at Middleton by Flanny and took the roof off I went and looked for some more by him, bought a Carl Holmes LP blind, but it was all rock and roll... Seems Carl was the band leader and other people sang I think. Who is the guy on the piano in this clip? Is that Carl Holmes?

News: Northern Soul - A Photographic Journey
I've been on the Northern Scene for the past 26 years but I have also known Brian Cannon since I was at least 10 years old. I know the man is very talented and what he does is from pure passion. I love the work you're doing Brian and I know you're a top bloke too. Nice one my old friend x

News: Pied Piper - A New Concept In Detroit Soul
The heavy fuzz guitars, the over the top backing singers and jack ashford's hammering tambourine right up front in the mix...... Pied Piper productions are everything a great northern soul record should be. Shivers down the spine. Can't wait to hear this CD. Well done Ady and co for putting this out. I'm sure it will sell VERY well!!!

A big sound from such a small town in Alabama, made even greater by the rhythm sessions of - "The Swampers". And of course The Fame recordings. Looks good.
