I don't really think I'm in a position to say too much about deejays, as I've only very recently started playing gigs. But what I will say is that I wholeheartedly agree with you. Personally, I really enjoy using the mic—I think it makes your set more personal and definitely helps create a better atmosphere. I've been to a lot of nights but have only played a handful of gigs. A few of those were just records played back-to-back with barely any talking in between. In my opinion, if you're going to do that, you might as well just plug in your phone and play a playlist.

Owl's Effort is really great to read through, In this specific one he is talking about his trip to America and digging for records in New York, Even though the record market is the way it is now, I like to look at the price difference from then to Current, Most Notably he states you can get a copy of "Delegates of Soul-I'll come running back" easily for a tenner!

Came across these in a record store the other day and thought they were really cool. As a young soulie I have never seen these before so loved this physical zine someone had made who is as obsessed as me about record and the music. For me I think its just showing someone a sort of two step motion that's on beat to the song, However I think you are correct, As I see it everyone dances differently so their idea of a "basic step" would be different to someone else's.

Hello, I have question regarding this track I have noticed on discogs that there is a version with the cat# RR 506 and #RR 506 DJ what is the difference between these two issues and why are they drastically cheaper between each other is the DJ one just classified as a reissue? This is true especially with youngsters like myself, There is so much out there to hear I have barely scratched the surface.

I've been dancing and going to nights for about a year now, As much as I agree that yes, It does help people to get the confidence to go out on the floor by showing them something introductory, I don't feel like that should cost £150. I have had some young people at nights come and ask me how to dance, I showed them a basic step and they asked me what next? I said "I'm not gonna show you what's next because then you will just dance like me", I think the way people dance is like a fingerprint its individual to you and I personally enjoy seeing people who do something different with the way they move and express themselves to the music.
