Combined Forces Colors Are Real C/w Listen and melt! Seriously RARE Cincinnati, Ohio sweet soul trophy portraying harmonies of the very highest order! Dreamy, sultry vocals take you on a trip to lush-soul-land where dance beats are not required to make you feel oh-so good! Just an outrageously precise mix of vocals and desire serves up Sweet Soul Heaven! Too Much! Flipside injects a subtle funky edge to the proceedings as the Hi-Tension Band bring in the horns! Two wonderful sides - one excruciating tricky 45 to snare! This copy has a few light surface marks - check out the double-sound-file lifted directly off this disc it plays clean and both labels are flawless Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 50.00 Tarheel Slim & Little Ann You Make Me Feel So Good C/w Got To Keep On Lovin' You SUE collectors will not need reminding # 390 is one of the very hard ones to capture. The pairing of Tarheel & Little Ann never fails to deliver a persuasive performance. This 1964 New York session is no exception, with the gruff throaty male vocal and the lively Soul-Sister knifelike counter-choral making the perfect blend for a hipshakin’ slab of Northern Soul R&B. Surprisingly this never took off in the English 60s all night clubs, consequently being RARE from almost day one and to this day remaining mostly unknown. It’s one for the SUE completer or the Twisted Wheel revival DJ who wants to air something that was perhaps not but should have been, spun at the time. The value at this moment though, hinges on the sheer rarity and the oh so near PERFECT condition. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 77.00

Jimmy Ruffin Don't Let Him Take Your Love From Me C/w Lonely Lonely Man I Am Personally I think Jimmy’s 1968 version of the Temptations album track is every note as fine as “Gonna Give Her All The I’ve I’ve Got” or ” Farewell Is A Lonely Sound” etc. In fact it was right in the groove of what was happening for Jimmy after his big hit “Brokenhearted” but this recording fell absolutely flat both sides of the Atlantic. Taking another listen, it’s sound fresh and ready for a surprise outing in an imaginative Motown set. I also like the laid-back take on the Velvelettes classic dance tune. Or from a TMG collectors point of view, where are you gonna find a pristine 1968 Green and White DEMO with a white card sleeve autographed by the great man himself! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 128.00 Prince Valiant & The Knights Back Yard C/w Front Yard From the same stable of the immortal Boo-Ga-Loo instrumental by The Dynatones - The Fife Piper, comes an equally enthralling Hammond instrumental but a 1000 times rarer! Boogaloo / Funk DJ’s will love both sides orgasmic organ extravaganza. “Back Yard” is the more powerful dance tune, prompting and prodding you to move as the keyboard player swaggers through his stuff - fantastic Boo-Ga-Loo! But do not overlooked the more considered B-side with flavors of “Coming Home Baby” wafting through the atmosphere.. A vital piece for the MOD DJ seeking something only a few jocks can boast of.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 59.00 Maxine Brown Oh No Not My Baby C/w You Upset My Soul Soul Queen Of New York with her personal anthem from the cultured pens of Carol King & Gerry Goffin and the sturdy production skills of Luther Dixon. The song became something of a “trust” anthem for girls during the 60s and perhaps Maxine’s best know recording to the masses! Record-story-telling at it’s best. As Maxine sings with hope, “You’re Not Like Those Other Guys” - “Oh No Not My Baby” in the end her loyalty is rewarded with a “Ring” Before you today is the seldom seen and highly desirable 1964 UK WHITE DEMO in fine clean condition! Rare and gorgeous…and such a classic tune! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 50.00 Cheryl Ann I Can't Let Him C/w Goodbye Baby Stan Vincent is not a name tat jumps to mind as a great Soul writer producer. But when yo consider the awesome Five Stairsteps “Oooh Child” or the killer Northern Soul vocal group dancer by The Notations “You Should Know” on Sue. You’ll realize this guy made a huge contribution to non-commercial Soul Music. Both records and many more he wrote and produced. So now we know why Cheryl Ann a cute blonde captured the ears, hearts & feet of Cleethorpes Pier faithful in 1975/76 blue-eyed but guided by a man with a penchant for the soul-sound. At one stage it rose to be no. 1 Pier girl tune of the day, later to be toppled by Tamala Lewis. But throughout all it’s time, remained seriously hard to acquire! Today it’s even harder, take a listen, forget she’s white, and you will hear a soulful side that may have passed you by before..NS dancability has never been in question. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 312.00

Syl Johnson Dresses Too Short The rarely seen 1968 album in just sublime condition. But rarity is only part of the reason why this LP is so highly-prized. Syl Johnson the man is why all serious soul collectors rave over this platter. Syl the snarling master of the microphone does it up like very few artists can. He stands right up in the middle of the “five man wall” along with Bobby Bland, Walter Jackson, Jerry Bulter, Buddy Lamp as soul men with unmistakeable voices. Check out the sample soundfile and absorb Syl, who with consummate ease transports his huge stage presence to vinyl. A more explosive 12 tracks you could not wish to hear; ranging from outrageous funk to gut wrenching Deep this Lp is a stand-out experience. Condition is sublime! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 109.00 Vibrations 'cause You're Mine C/w I Took An Overdose This weeks Northern Soul classic offering in perfect condition is the dead-cert hot-favourite for dance-floor-invasion, as the matching of Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff to Chicago’s most-rowdy pays off big-time. Especially selected for the neurotic about perfection, the O C D Northern Soul collector - you will not locate a better copy. This offering has never hear of Northern Soul Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 209.00 Pages Heartaches & Pain C/w Mack The genuine authentic original press! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 367.00 Twisted Wheel Mail Shot Spring 1969 March, April, May The interest in the Twisted has never ever been greater. This iconic All Night Clubs reputation and admiration has spanned full 5 decades. Before you today is the Spring 1969 “forthcoming attractions” flyer; astonishingly still married to the original envelope it was mailed in. Interestingly on 22nd. of March the 8 piece gathering of the G-Clefs appeared live, a group who have no obvious Northern Soul connection but I bet you they set the place alight - the sound file is their only NS offering from 1962. This flyer just begs to hang on your wall to marked the passing of this unparalleled MOD meeting place… Personally I’m gonna make a Tee Shirt.. PS check out the Postmark requesting you the “SHIP OUT OF THE PORT OF MANCHESTER” …how times have changed. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 11.00

Soul Bros Inc. Pyramid George Brown dispenses Northern Soul bliss in overwhelming amounts! Nowt, I can say will make you want ownership more, than you already do… Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 839.00 Marvelettes Sugar Never Been As Sweet As You What went wrong at Motown for their graceful-girl-gathering? The scheduled album never achieved release, as the team went through a mystifying baron 3 years of not having a release. Their last record release was in 1966 and achieved great success especially in Britain “These Things Will Keep Me Loving You” an ironic title as the powers that be, fell out of love with these ladies. Disillusionment grew and in November 1969 band member Carolyn Gill married Monitors & future Temptations member Richard Street. Street persuaded Carolyn to give up the group, and founder member and sister Mildred Gill decided to disband the team. The Velvelettes were no more but they left us with some of the finest girl-group Motown Northern Soul ever created… and a clear run for revivals The Marvelettes I hope found my senior-moment and all of the above interesting - but this 10” one-off is by The Marvelettes… Before you today is an UNISSUED ORIGINAL June 1969 10” acetate. This UNIQUE platter encapsulates everything we loved about Motown..uplifting, vibrant and utterly stunning Northern Soul that always has the dancefloor trembling with delight! Women always cause confusion in my head…. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 1,679.00 Little Ron And The Esquires I Found Someone You are viewing one of only a very few copies know to exist of this spectacular 1966 Los Angeles Northern Soul vocal group dancer. An ear-catching bass guitar intro makes way for the towering horns that flood the air as Little Ron jumps on board for the fast track to the danceflloor! Relentless upbeat rhythm lays the platform for the Esquires enthusiasm to break lose. Little Ron shoots the wave after wave of brass only pausing for the well timed instrumental breaks. This 45 has everything a real Northern Soul dancer should have plus many decades long validated rarity. You will be asking yourself why you have hardly heard or never heard this belting mover out and about… I think hardly anyone owns a copy would be the simple answer. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 726.00 Various Artists Recorded Live On Stage In all my years dealing & collecting UK Tamla Motown rarities I have never encountered the elusive album in such fine condition. Both labels are perfect, vinyl we are struggling to even locate the merest surface blemish - staggeringly clean and still encased in the original inner sleeve! Front cover has only a light crease just under he M of the Marvelettes text (see scan) back cover is free of writing, stains or any other flaw just very merest age browning. *you will not locate a finer copy So witness Motown in the flesh Sorry, this item has already been won! Bill Lucas Cause I Know You Mine C/w I Don't Wanna Ever Love Again BEAT BALLAD HEAVEN! Bill Lucas spent time at Joe Stevenson’s Del-Val Records backing up singers like Gene Woodbury. After listening to his only solo 60s single, you will wondering why his was just a backing singer. Under the guidance of Bob “Girl Across The street” Finiz and the prolific Richie Rome, a man who was involved in so many Northern Soul winners. The three pool their seasoned Soul recording talents and craft a deep-vocal builder of pure-excellence. Bill Lucas’s mighty vocal effortlessly glides through a production that gently climbs in volume & powerful exploding into a BEAT BALLAD of real substance…if that’s not enough I personally think the flipside is every note as good. This is the authentic 1967 Philadelphia vinyl press, ignore the Los Angeles styrene repro made in 1975 .. this is the only one to own. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 111.00 Darrell Banks Is Here - Mono Recording The immortal Darrell Banks! an artist so close to the hearts of the Northern Soul fan. This is the original 1967 Atco release in breathtaking condition, truly Mint - Two perfect labels, flawless vinyl, back & front cover on close inspection only reveals light signs of human contact a tiny drill-hole goes unnoticed; still retaining it’s original inner sleeve, this is a beauty. Track listing could hardly be more enticing…All his Revilot, Cotillion & Atco releases + the “lp only” master-class “I’m gonna hang my head and cry” - a recording that sits perfectly between a Deep Soul Ballad & the Big City Sound..awesome! Click the soundfile to hear a great soulman at work. View the cover for a vivid photo of the iconic man, who’s life ended so tragically February 24, 1970. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 85.00 Neo Experience Human How please am I today, to have just snagged this beauty in a swap deal. Why am I pleased? Not only do I just love this revamp of Tommy Hunt’s timeless classic, it also seems to be receiving a huge renaissance with the Northern Soul DJ’s after decades of attention from70s orientated jocks. Leon Mitchell successfully blends the 60s Beat Ballad and a modern Soul dance production. We predict this tune is perfectly-perched for a comeback and a wider audience than last time around. Take listen, see what you think.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 205.00 Ice-cold-energy Never Go Looking For Love C/w Everybody Can Dance With only two months go for the Soul-Gang pilgrimage to Great Yarmouth and the Soul Essence weekender, we are going to weekly list some elusive Sweet Soul ballads that would surely ensure an even dreamier afternoon in the “Deep Soul Hideaway Room”. This weeks ballad recommendation is an Al & Tom Boyd project, guaranteeing a Soulful cleansing from the rigors of the dancefloor. A beautifully constructed, tightly mixed sweet soul groove lead by and high-pitched lead that inter-changes with a deeper delivery all cradled in the warmth of a blanket of harmony. Competitive note holding highlight this emotional recording… PROPER SOUL, proper-rare and proper-good stuff from a very obscure indie gathering it’s on D.I.Y. label… Flipside is a dance tune, but pales by comparison.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 97.00

Johnnie Taylor Ain't That Lovin' You (for More Reasons Than One) Our database reveals this is by far and away the rarest UK Blue Stax single. “The Philosopher of Soul” strolls his way through this most sorrowful testament of his love. All the guys are there on this session, Booker T. Jones wailing hammond, a mountain of Memphis Horns, Duck Duck guitar, funeral paced plodding piano drones away…all adding up to a mood-changing Memphis session of pure quality. Genius lyricist Homer Banks writes; “From The Depths Of My Heart I Love You Darling - For More Reasons Than One” Capturing the very essence of the City in that period, inexplicably receiving poor sales in the UK as Stax’s more upbeat dance titles stole the show and if you wanted a ballad..Otis was your man. In recent times though You tube, Facebook sites like BEAT BALLAD HEAVEN and Jamaican cover versions have highlighted the quality of this staggeringly good tune; And believe me as the 1967 “DARK BLUE” British press this is one deceiving hard disc to find. Click the soundfile and melt… Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 75.00 Blues & Soul No. 147 Novemnber 18 1974 Motown fans this an edition that will interest you. With a special article on The Temptation plus an amazing full colour center-fold spread of the group. It’s a showstopping picture! Also full page ad for the Four Tops in Manchester. Wigan Casino full page advert that would make a great T-Shirt. Northern Soul fans this was rigt at te height of the burgeoning Northern Soul scene Club advert s for Wigan Casio (full page), other clubs boasting of their play lists and DJ’s are: Three Men In a Boat in Walsall, Newton Aycliffe - The Centre, Leeds Central, Burnley Cricket Club, The Safari Club @ Dudley Zoo, The 100 Club with Greg Edwards, Kiddrminster Town Hall, Nottinghsam Palais, Coalville Tiffanys, Memorial Hall, Northwich, Farnborough Recreation Center, International Soul Club - Newcastle, Stafs.. and that’s only a few of the NS advert events in this edition..! And they say today “there’s just too many do’s on” .. All the usual feature too.. We think this edition highlights the blossoming English Northern Soul scene of 1974 just perfectly… Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 19.00 Jocelyn Brown If I Can't Have Your Love Some records leave us feeling so much better for listening to them, this Keith Barrow creation leaves me totally breathless with delight! A more beautiful Soulful-stepper would be hard to imagine; this session is so provocative, Jocelyn’s flirtatious vocal style is enhanced by the equally enthralling girl group assistance. Let the girls take you by the hand and lead you through one very, very sexy journey into soul! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 128.00 Purple Mundi C/w Carlos Wright Stop Hurting Me Baby C/w Man From The Sky If you want to experience soul-dance music before the mid-70s intrusion called “DISCO” then check out this beauty from the heart of where disco was about to explode. Yes this release is the one with the TWO good sides. Top side, starts with a fluid uplifting harmonious groove that commands you to move, then a vocal totally unsuited to “disco” vocal kicks in. The leads gravel-coated throat grinds out the lyrics over a bed of subtle hammond and soothing backing vocals. Delectable soulful-dance for the purist! Flip it over and we are about to be consumed yet again by a soulful masterpiece… listen to be overwhelmed by beautiful lyrics a string-swamped backing with delectable girls dressing up the agonized lead vocal. This 45 offers REAL-DEAL PROPER SOUL MUSIC - accept no substitutes. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 760.00

Tony Middelton, Chuito & The Latin Uniques Spanish Maiden Blaring horns, bongos step aside for a deep bass rhythm that sets the mood for this outrageously good Latin dancer. What a wise choice of vocalist, the growling drag on certain notes of Mr. Middleton’s vocal adds that essential blend into the mix to make this recording extra-special. Then a second blaring horn break, carefully stroked bongos again step aside for a deep bass rhythm, irresistible! A dance-floor filler for decades now and still sounding as fresh, new and welcome as it always has been…. greatest never fades..even with time.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 413.00 Unknown Artist The Long Twine As far as we are aware you are viewing a unique GOLDEN WORLD unissued acetate! The coolness of the label is only surpassed by the solid slab of Northern Soul hidden in the grooves. The dance-inspiring bass intro is ramped up by bongos, congas and incessant vocal-group backing up an enthusiastic lead-vocal. Crafting a compelling production blending Detroit Soul, doo-wop and a pinch of Latin to great effect. To underline the importance of this disc - if it played Country & Western I’d be proud to frame it to hang in the house - so iconic is the GOLDEN WORLD label so rare is a fully addressed & labelled acetate. It’s proper-Northern Soul…so act accordingly, on what could be your one and only opportunity to do so.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 811.00 Belita Woods That's When I'll Stop Loving You A sultry saunter into delicious Detroit Soul. Long before the mighty Belita was enjoying world recognition as lead singer of Brainstorm and later as a valued member of George Clinton’s hand-picked members of P-Funk Touring group, she was carving out a reputation as the teenager to watch. As a 16 year old under the trusted guidance of the likes Ollie McLaughlin, Mike Terry, Richard Popcorn Wylie, Tony Hester etc. she belied her tender years to deliver her soulful vocal with the ease of a veteran. Her signature precocious vocal-purr, enhanced by the gentle cracking on the high notes, always drips with emotion. Belita is not world renowned outside of “Soul Circles” but it surely should be. Listen to an Angel at work, on a Mike Terry arrangement that crafts one of the most poignant Northern Soul mid-tempo experiences you’ll ever be lucky enough to hear. Truly, truly beautiful tune… Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 260.00 Andy Fisher & The Encores My Heart's Beating Stronger C/w A Wee Bit Longer Shall we let the stunning unblemished label, the perfect vinyl and the double delight of Los Angeles Northern Soul you’re about to reveal on the soundfile, do all the talking for this NS Trophy piece. You don’t want to hear me, you want to hear the silky vocal of Andy Fisher and the rich skilled Cliff Goldsmith production. Mid-tempo Northern Soul doesn’t get much better than this, the condition certainly could not be finer. So expect a little competition… Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 84.00 Jason Knight Our Love Is Getting Stronger The British Soul Scene was in full swing - the All-Night-Clubs of 1965/66 were throbbing to the sounds of upbeat dance-soul, the thirst for the music was intense. So how clever of John Schroeder to produce the perfect Northern Soul dance tune, years before the term was coined. It is so-seldom the British music industry captured the sound of America but on this occasion it is replicated seamlessly. Even though a masterpiece, this release failed so miserably it has become one of THE most elusive of all the British 60s 45s. By 1973 from plays @ all thev major clubs & rising to Wigan Casino monster status; in 1973 PYE quickly released it again in September of that year. Gambrells You Better Move Immaculate “like New” copy - killer girl-group Detroit Northern soul! Only the streets of Detroit give up this style of 60s soul-dance music. A down n’ dirty production gives the group a platform to leave any girly-sweetness at the studio door. A rattling Ollie McLauglin inspired piano leads the ladies through this smouldering session, with an inflamed lead vocalist transporting the defiant command to “move” far beyond her friend “he’s my man” and “You Better Move” Oh yes the lady is in charge all the way through this compelling dance groove, as the brass builds, the horn break and she’s back more determined than ever! Similar in make-up to Donna Colman - My Love’s Too Strong - but infinitely rarer! Sorry, this item has already been won! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 35.00 Four Tops Reach Out I'll Be There C/w Until You Love Someone Allegedly Levi Stubbs and friends were not amused by Berry Gordy’s decision to let the Isley Brothers release their version of “This Old Heart Of Mine” Levi thought the Four Tops would have been better suited for the job. Gordy wisely kept The Tops “onside” by giving the group their biggest hit to date when Holland - Dozier - Holland crafted the blockbuster “Reach Out” that would become the Four Tops most memorable recording. Aided by The Andantes and a crucially powerful Funk Brothers instrumentation this took Motown into the realms of the Big Production and The Four Tops into musical immortality. Today before you is that recording in it’s rarest most-desirable form. Totally flawless MINT minus copy of UK Tamla Motown, incidentally very first Green & White TMG DEMO to be made by EMI! As one soul fan on Facebook so aptly put it “This is the kind of record you’d put in a time capsule for aliens to discover in 4567 - it’s about a good a thing as humans have ever created…” so true Joel how true Sorry, this item has already been won! Cairos Don't Fight It C/w Stop Overlooking Me SHRINE TIME! SHRINE TIME!! I don’t think this 45 is on sale anywhere in the world at the moment, so I will try and restrain myself from writing OTT crap about one of Northern Soul’s most-desirable prizes. No, I’m sorry I won’t be able to resist it, the pull towards overblown superlatives is too strong. After all this is SHRINE and both sides are sending me into an impassioned eulogy of how this label without exception has heightened my senses every time I’ve listened, touched, sniffed and hugged any of it’s releases. Then again I fully understand if your encounters with these Holy Grails are few and far between you may not fully appreciate a fully grown man going into fits of delight whilst holding this record. If you want to feel like I do now - thrilled, humbled and privileged to be in the presence of such beauty, try and win this NS masterpiece, as it’s gonna be perhaps another lifetime before I see it again. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 4,521.00 Marisa Gatti Love's What You Want There is a good chance no other DJ or friend will have this excruciatingly RARE Detroit to hand when you spin it! In fact this is one of the most-elusive girl tunes ever to emerge from the Motor City on an eye-catching obscure label that us soul-addicts just adore encountering! An atmospheric Mike Valvano creation delivering a discreet blend of hammond and vibes supports Marisa’s sharp-vocal, with typical Detroit squealing girl-group back up all woven into a strong dance production, that also enjoys a most-unusual instrumental break. Rarely , if ever seen for sale and begging to become an head-turning spin for an inspired DJ set. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 583.00 Marvelous Ray Whirlpool Some records rise to a huge reputation, then as the decadess pass, they become a seldom-seen, seldom-talked about and fall once again into sleeping-obscurity. I must admit, I’ve not had chance to drop the needle on this might-rolling-bulldozer of Northern Soul for quite some time, so wasn’t quite sure what to expect. So how pleasantly surprised I was when it’s sounded even better than I remembered. From the first note the production exudes power, with the irresistible capacity to demand you to dance! James Abner’s kitchen-sink production reminds me of Freddie Hughes’s outings on Vee Jay & Exodus, which are enjoying well-received revival spins at the moment. Could anyone who loves Northern Soul dancing leave the floor as the stylus thumps into this potent groove - as the atmosphere quickly builds into just one mighty slice of Northern! DJ’s including myself should be eagerly adding this to their play list… AWESOME! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 205 Kim Weston After The Rain UNISSUED and in my opinion Kim Weston finest “soul” record for Motown This unique 10” studio acetate from 6th Of august 1965 is a world one-off having been acquired in Los Angeles in the late 80’s with over 50 other Motown studio acetates from Simon Soussan. All were sold almost immediately, including Originals - Baby Have Mercy On Me - Four Tops - Jazz Workshop album etc etc. At the time this was one of my favourites of that legendary batch. I can’t remember who bought it but I can remember feeling this is gonna take the Northern Soul scene by a storm; but it never did. A clear case of in the wrong hands at the wrong time, but I’m thrilled today decades later to have it back in my possession because this recording sits in special part of Motown History- the part where some sessions oozed more SOUL than was commercially good. Today it’s sounds even better than it did back then…an utterly glorious example of Detroit Soul and unissued for obvious reasons! Just toooo Darn Soulful! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 566.00

Vel-vets I Got To Find Somebody Does it get anymore classic than this100% Los Angeles girl-group wedge of Northern Soul. Ike Strong’s earthy vocal style has long been admired by the rare-soul collector, so when James Terry & Sam Moultrie construct a wave of strings for Mr. Strong to rinse his tonsils with - the outcome is sensational! Soulful dance does not get much better than this easy-flowing mover - little wonder the “Ted’s” of the scene, i I do, consider it a potential monster.. Sorry, this item has already been won!
