The fact that it has gone so high so early in the auction suggests there is probably some naivety involved, surely it's wiser to keep your powder dry and have a look towards the close of play,

One thing we seem to agree on is this 45 isn't as rare as the price tag suggests, so for me the main reason it is commanding the sums that it does can only be down to demand, folk from right across the scene, serious collectors, DJs, dancers and even handbaggers (hate that term) appear to, in the main, like the track, hey ho,

The artists wanted to avoid recognition so much that they demanded that DJs playing their records to the public changed their name and the title and that they hide the label, just to make them even more obscure

Always baffled me this, offsetting the cost of records against the fee for playing them, Aren't DJs invited to play their records because they already have them, and if the DJ wants to add to his/her collection along the way then that's up to them? They can always be sold on again, often (but not always) for a profit,
