  1. Pretty sure one went through for £1300+ not too long ago
  2. Yea the other one has been on days, it's had a couple of mentions on this thread so maybe they have retracted bids to concentrate on that, Now it's down to £900 can those that have retracted bids rejoin the auction?
  3. Yes that makes sense to me, and yes the seller will be gutted
  4. Never seen that before, a couple of bid withdrawals maybe?
  5. The fact that it has gone so high so early in the auction suggests there is probably some naivety involved, surely it's wiser to keep your powder dry and have a look towards the close of play,
  6. Obviously only scrolled back until I found one, can't find the one post 6 is referring to, £1800 BIN,? no link
  7. A couple of days late there Chris, see post #25
  8. One thing we seem to agree on is this 45 isn't as rare as the price tag suggests, so for me the main reason it is commanding the sums that it does can only be down to demand, folk from right across the scene, serious collectors, DJs, dancers and even handbaggers (hate that term) appear to, in the main, like the track, hey ho,
  9. Are we saying that none of the Stoke resident DJs ever have within their oldies play boxes a Timi Yuro?????
  10. As Steve says not as rare as it would appear,a great record nonetheless and plenty like it, but as with all records plenty don't like it, Still 5 days to go......
  11. Sorry if I have missed it already being mentioned, but I've never seen it go so high, where's it going to finish???? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321707094493?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  12. The artists wanted to avoid recognition so much that they demanded that DJs playing their records to the public changed their name and the title and that they hide the label, just to make them even more obscure
  13. The header says 'Northern soul Deejay Pay', By profit I didn't mean necessarily in the Eddie Parker bracket, I reckon Northern Soul records in general are worth more today than anytime previously, My main point though was, regardless of the profit of selling on the vinyl, the cost of records should not be factored into a DJ fee,
  14. Always baffled me this, offsetting the cost of records against the fee for playing them, Aren't DJs invited to play their records because they already have them, and if the DJ wants to add to his/her collection along the way then that's up to them? They can always be sold on again, often (but not always) for a profit,
