That "tumbleweed Moment"
Soulman, understand fully where your coming from, regardless of your wine intake, but can't help noticing your preferred event, KGH, it just happens i am resident at KGH and it doesn't get much better than 1800 peeps having a great night out accross 3/4 rooms, and if its the northern/motown room at KGH that you prefer then Kingsway Hall will be right up your street, Just to keep on topic, rarely tumbleweed at either event fingers crossed BTW indulged a little to much meself now maybe hic

Agree totally, horses for courses as they say, and at Kingsway Hall they know what they like, what they want, and really know how to enjoy it, Absolutely nothing wrong with that, can't wait for tomorrow and if i bring nothing new to the table and help contribute to a great night (which it most definitely will be) then

Yes there is and Nige is a top fella, No not the same person- That "tumbleweed Moment"
Playing Kingsway tomorrow night, so will make sure to put TJ in the playbox has been on the backburner for a while due to a number of mediocre dance floor responses,- Surely This Is A Joke
Not really an ebay expert, but could it not be feesable that the buyer and the seller are one and the same or a 'team'? Their thinking that a single bid is better than none, in an effort to create interest, hence the buyer being 'private' Just a thought- Craig Charles " All Singing , All Dancing , All New Year's Day " Radio 2 New Year's Day 1 Am - 4am
What gets sadder by the day is more and more folk concerning themselves with what others may like or dislike, if for any reason anybody doesn't want to wear spencers, or doesn't want to listen to a particular music genre, or doesn't want to buy/read any particular book, or doesn't want to tune in to a particular radio show (of which i have no interest) then the solution is simple ....................................... DON'T Those that do ........ENJOY Merry Christmas (if thats still acceptable, on Boxing day) And a very peaceful New Year to all Pete- Favourite Lyrics

This old heart - doesn't get any better for me Also love, Every time i see you You look so fine girl Every time your eyes meet mine Chills run up and down my spine Constellations - I don't know about you,- The Northern Soul Top 100- 500
But would he/she not get slated for not only the tunes chosen but also who he/she chose to help, or didnt choose?- The Northern Soul Top 100- 500
You would question Bob and Carl? My point exactly, its started already, Who decides? then we could have a debate on who decides who decides,- The Northern Soul Top 100- 500
And who would question the qualifications of Ady Croasdell, Dave Evison, John Manship, Ginger taylor, Bob Hinsley, Carl Willingham, The point I am trying to make is it would feed another discussion as to why or why not was x y and z involved/not involved Would change from a debate about the top 500 tunes to the top 20 pioneers of NS- The Northern Soul Top 100- 500
Would we not then have a thread asking 'why was so and so invited to contribute and not such a person? who decides who is qualified to join in? its a book with the option to buy/read, personally its of very little interest to me,- Events Xmas Bash
Don't know if this has been touched on before, I used to co-promote a monthly soul night a few years ago so i know the work and effort that goes into getting a night off the ground and then keeping it worthwhile, Thing is our night was always the end of the month, which was fine until December, when it seems it is ok for events that have already had a December night (where they could quite easily have doubled it up as a xmas party) to put a second night on under the guise of a 'Xmas bash', thus seriously affecting the 'bread and butter nights' in the same area, As i am no longer involved in any such events, this is not directed at any particular nights on either side of the fence, just a general observation, Wadda ya think?
