Sort of miss-read the topic...i was only referring to strictly SOUL clubs; i should mention then POWDER ROOM (Barcelona), running for 5 years + now every thursday. It's a massive venue, 500 + coming every thursday....Keb Darge has a monthly residency plus we've had Butch, Ian Wright, Dj Spinna, etc...Djing there. I used to Dj regularly there, now i'm supposed to run the monthly night they're starting in...Andorra! I also Dj in smaller funk & jazz clubs in BCN, as RED CLUB, HARLEM or CAFE ALSUR...Another funk, jazz and soul night worth mentioning is the one that JADD (one of the best Spanish Dj's IMO) runs in Madrid @ MARULA CLUB.

The main ones in Spain are: * MOVIN' ON (Barcelona): Across the board, but leaning towards the modern side of things (Next one, 7th of April, with Sebastain Fonzeus and Yann Vatiste as guest Dj's) * THE BOILER (Barcelona): Mainly R&B, black R&R and soul * GREEN VILLAGE (Madrid): Same as Movin' On * SMART (Madrid): 60's soul and R&B * GONNA BE A BIG THING (Valencia): Northern soul and crossover * S4R (Bilbao, but this is a weekender): Crossover and modern soul ...Plus me and Cristina from The Boiler (also my partner at Movin' On) run a weekly soul/R&B night in Barcelona every Sunday, called SPICE OF LIFE. Hi, Mark! Haven't got so much job djing lately, only one or two times a week now.. Cristina has got a different partner than me for The Boiler (Jordi), but i run with her Movin' On and a weekly sunday soul-R&B-latin-tiki sounds night called "Spice of Life" at Las Guindas Bar, very nice place btw...My other regular Djing place in BCN now is Caf AlSur, almost every friday and/or saturday (that is, if i'm in BCN and not in Berlin or Vienna) Anybody in need for more info just PM, ok? I'd definitely like to know more about the guys/girls up, up, up north... Maybe Sebastian or Kristoffer can let us know wich are their favourite Nordic Dj's...Oslo Soul Nights always look quite interesting and, from what i see in the pictures of their parties, we have kind of similar crowd/vibe on the dancefloor. Must say that ours is not a "conoisseurs" venue, we are more than happy to have all kinds of hip people there...we don't want to "keep the faith", we want to spread it... .We don't believe in preaching for the converts. Also, we're interested in people that are able to keep a dancefloor busy just by the quality of their tunes and their ability to work a dancefloor...and, in this respect, all the guest Dj's we've brough here have ended up their nights having a big round of applause!
