I can picture them all now with there Van Halen and Kiss t-shirts on. With all that vinyl on fire were they playing "Those About to Rock We Pollute You"

Think you'll find mate that all the dancers out of them would be termed disco, where else in 70's afro-american music would they have been aiming a soulful dancefloor record at other than the disco yes I know most of it's a wind up

Bearsy, post up your 70's tunes in your collection so people can point out the disco tunes contained there in Serious and not doing it to try to cause ill feeling or anything, I'm just sure you'll be surprised how many you will be told are disco In fact if anyone wants to please feel free to join in I can certainly post up all mine so people can take the piss or not

Ebayer
Some certainly would if it would save them a couple of hundred quid or get their long term want
-
Ebayer
Because some people track what you are bidding on and sometimes snipe you if they are after it as well. For instance you may have spotted something they haven't because it was mispelt or listed for the flip

Pete, by no means trying to change history but as you well know there is a mainstream element and an underground element. The two are worlds apart, but some are seeming to have a problem seeing that you need to scratch the surface to get rid of the crud and bring out the good stuff. Same can be said of most genres - are only the Ska/Reggae tunes that charted the only ones that excist and were they the truly the best that were released and wasn't there any cash in Ska and Reggae sound alikes that were truly bad? Did mods only listen to The Who and Small Faces? Skinheads in the 70/80's listen only to Oi? Could Disco Duck really be disco??

Hmmm, something makes me think Rivalino2 may be just about to change his/her user name as they've been rumbled Why on earth didn't they use a snipe service that keeps your id secret until the last few seconds?

Also on a really knowledgable soul forum surely the majority of the posters are a bit more clued up than to say Boney M and The Bee Gees are what disco is all about

-
Disco
My logic is if you don't like some tracks it don't make the whole of the genre rubbish As you've only heard two of them I'll wait for Jocko to load them on then you can tell me they're rubbish
