Great 45s Issued Only On Reissue Labels
A couple of people on here asked me about the version of Tyrone Davis' "Can I Change My Mind" that I played in my first set (with Eddie Piller) at the Forum on Friday. Hi Tony, it was me who asked you about the record on the balcony (I am Tony as well) could it be the LP version if you know. Tony

Sherlock Holmes
You might grumble on the postage, as an apprentice in 1978 I got the minimum wage of £16.50 a week and that was with over time, £5 on logings, £5 on bus fare and £3 to £5 on records the rest on food, fags and they say the price of records is high today.

Yes! Yes and put half a pint of Whisky in mine to drown out that Ska. I have only heard some Ska tunes uploaded (avoided any threads like the plague) I agree its Soul not Ska Source, but if a small room is put aside for such things I am sure it wont be any bother to me. More R&B wouldn't hurt any body and it puts hairs on you chest. .

Frankie 'loveman' Crocker
Slowed down, it also has a bit of the 'Am I the same girl' feel. Is there an instrumental version of this I am sure I have it some where on Chess.

Turbo, Stang, Platinum are all a bit iffy for the year, Linda Jones and The Whatnauts rough as foulk and mono as well, all sound like they were recorded in a 2 been tin's with the string. As for TOD the recording is a bit wooley or warm, then they guy who was clicking his fingers to the beat must have blisters by now.

So is Wille & The Mighty Mag's the backing band on TOD

Valuing Vinyl
Its very nice having it yesterday but later on when every Tom Dick & Harry has one the its time to sell it. Price I thought is also deterimined by the amout of copys you see of a particular record per year or month, works well untill you through a Jack Montgomery into the equation every week.
