Levine Manifesto Interview
The Dome, never missed one of them, Greg, Carl, Dave, Alan fantastic line up with a superb mix of tastes, but to get one of the DJ's to play a record that's an out and out boot from the core and to try and pass it off as a valid entity is just taking the piss out of us all, VERY SAD

Is This A Counterfiet ?
It just to say that the records was not of fantastic quality from day one and to have a counterfeit pressing, manufactured on inferior vinyl that apparently isn't of the regular Motown standard you would expect to be of poor sound quality as well, but I see what you mean about the print being strange and not very clear. I have been checking my Motown singles, I must admit its not a record label that I collect doubles of and have come a cross some interesting differences like my Eddie Holland with a Nashville and an ARP stamped in the dead wax but no logo at the bottom of the label, quiet a selection. I always thought C was for copy rite and p was for a re print or second issue? About the recording and loss of tapes I read it in a Mowtown book that also went on about some guy who had invented a 3 track recorder and amps that had a habit of bursting into flames from heat from bad cables.

Is This A Counterfiet ?
Not too sure if you are right about this on Tony, Motown were in a hurry to get a Four Tops in the charts so they worked all night to get this record cut from tapes, they took an acetate to the pant and the record was released from that, the master tapes were lost so they recorded another version for the LP.

The Knightsmen: B.t.o. / If I Told You (coconut Groove)
I have been playing the b-side but think the other side BTO is a great blue eyed romp and worth a spin out.

The Knightsmen: B.t.o. / If I Told You (coconut Groove)
Cats out of the bag then, I have been playing this for about 8 month's C/U as The Washington Brothers, great record with a good dance floor response. My mates after a copy I will e-mail you.

Yep you are right, getting my Herb Johnson's and Johnny Moore's mixed up. Huggghh anyone help, where's the sound file icon moved too.

The Trips - There's That Mountain
I have had this on a gold Brunswick reissue or a boot, dreadful sound quality.

The Trips - There's That Mountain
Would the Soultown be something to do with the Jimmy Conwell connection, there is another released version of LCBMNMHMNTTM or TTM? Sweets S105.

Cleaning Vinyl
I tried Mr Muscle on a few records, you may thing no way but finger grease is acidic so to neutralise Mr Muscle is ideal being caustic soda an alkaline like soap, fairy liquid is as well. One problem is the records are in mono and some of the distortions are not actually there but you can hear them when played in stereo and it's not dirt in the grooves. While you are at it play a record, get comfortable and have a listen, then clean the plug on the turn tables mains with fine sandpaper and see if you hear any difference.

Diplomats
Fantastic track, had the CD for a few years since they played like at The Cleethorpes weekender and I can't understand why Kent record's have not had this as the anniversary single or out on general release, not sure about the magic pond? but my favourite Diplomats track.

This Is Out Of Order
A few guys from the US have been sending my stuff registered and put say $300 $400 on the ticket as what the records cost, I then get an Import VAT bill for £60 from UK customs + a handling charge, He points out that it cost him extra to send it and its something I never requested, they could just send it recorded for $9.99 second hand disc., 99.9% of US dealers records turn up.
