Top Tips For 2013
Yes i see that, thx for heads up. . Glad someone pays attention lol . Did you not try who i mentioned a while back for a copy? Trouble is a few of the Swedish/German lads are after this now from when i played it at Essence last year .

Top Tips For 2013
Last of my 3 tips for 2013: I`ll make a sweetman (out of you)-Doris Duke. More a collectors record then dancefloor but defo one for the connoisseurs: Not a great clip but best i can find. Big thx to Micky Gynn for putting me onto this .
-
Top Tips For 2013
This is known and wanted by a few(sorry guys). First played by Paul Sutton many moons ago but only a few of us picked up on it.Took me years to find this bugger: From Brazil of all places: Really think once copies turn up or sold to the bigger boys, this will go massive.
-
Top Tips For 2013
Morning-American Standard band 45,think this would really work at Essence and a few other places. Not on you tube.Very left field.

The Mighty Chevelles: Black Gold Lp
Didn`t know that Adrian , when i was looking for my copy,Snow boy had a real one which i got outbid on.Luckily he told me how to spot the differance in the run out.

The Mighty Chevelles: Black Gold Lp
Bob what`s the run out on your copy?Hopefully this will help collectors in the future.

Important: Significant Us->Overseas Postage Rate Increase As Of 1/27/2013
It`s 50/50 at mo,i find u.s sellers are cheaper to buy without post but unless you do bulk orders, can work out more expensive sometimes.I have ways round that, downside is i have to buy mint or sealed to save hassle cos i won`t see lp`s for sometimes 3/4 months after buying it. Discogs have a lot of uk sellers and your right, some of em there postage is way over priced.I buy off sellers either i know,do fair priced postage or live /work in London ,i meet them at workplace/home or in one case,at a bus station in Waterloo(he was a bus driver lol). Like yourself,i work in Transport so am very good at working out distribution etc.
-
Important: Significant Us->Overseas Postage Rate Increase As Of 1/27/2013
looks like buying lp`s is gonna be pointless unless there rare or mega cheap from the U.s. from 2013 . Bob,have the postal companies given reasons for higher cost/ i.e fuel prices etc?
-
The Mighty Chevelles: Black Gold Lp
Original got Chevelle in run out bout 6 o`clock on A-side. 11 oclock on b-side. Would have thought re issue has white/lighter cardboard inside lp cover and original is heavier/ brown (mine is). Great lp Tim,i would give this a 10 dogs bollocks marks. Hope you got a real one.

Sunday 10Pm-Midnight On Starpoint Radio Bob Smith/wayne Arbon
I`ll be joining Bob Live in the studio tonight for another `crate experience`.No feature or 3 from certain 3 years this week. We will instead play a few tracks in honour of Marva Whitney and Fontella Bass for the sad loss.Plus music from late 60`s,70`s,80`s with the odd 90`s/2yk thrown in. Last 40 mins we go down-tempo,deep,sweet with some steppers. If you wanna get in touch for a shout/request on the night,pm me or Bob and i`ll give ya details of the `hot line`. We try and keep it on one mode cos it gets busy on the night. Hopefully you can join us for a pre New years jolly up.

Filthy Soul 27Th December 2012
Big thx to our guest dj`s and everyone who went to our new venue.Personally i like it,Beer is good, nice lay out, food looks nice, nice sized dancefloor and there`s nice comfy chairs for those that wanna chill out at the back of the pub. Now the negatives: Toilets are much cleaner but we could do without a idiot doing graffiti on the dryer and wall. Next time we will bring a nice a4 sized paper with colouring in crayons so you can hours of fun in the naughty chair. Might even buy you a limonade if your a good person. One of the residents(there`s only 3 nearby) complained about sound(joys of putting on do`s in London nowdays) so we had to turn it down at one point. It`s turns out someone opened the windows plus i think the front door got left open sometimes with the smokers??.Spoke with owner and manager and they will rectify this so it don`t happen again. Plus Andy will set up speakers a bit differant in certain places. There`s always a learning curve when putting on at a new venue. This won`t happen again or we pull it next time and go elsewhere.Hopefully it didn`t spoil your enjoyment too much and sorry to the dj`s whose set it happened on. Here`s what i played: I want to be where you are-Ronnie Dyson lp. She`s mine-J.J. Barnes lp. It`s me-Eddie Floyd 7". It`s what they can`t see-Timmy Thomas 7". Rat Race-Danny Williams 7". Trip to your mind-Hudson People 7". Do you love me-La Familia Inc 7". Hot Foxy Women-Christian Plicque 7". It`s everything about you(that i love)-Lee Williams 7". I`m tired of these changes-Isaac Taylor 7". Catch you on the rebound-Brenton Wood 7". Lonely mans hum-Porgy Williams (Grey label mix) 7". Electrified love- Ernie Hines 7". Help me find mr good man-Brenda Parker 7". Lost in a city-The Vows 7". Fear not-The Ledgends 7". Gotta get yourself together-The Valentines 7". What do you want with my love-The Stratoliners 7". Ain`t gonna run-The Royal Esquires 7". Next Filthy is Sunday 31th March 2013. Happy new year from all the Filthy Crew.

Dyson's Faces Lp
Cheers Steve. . That`s true,i was using jumpers for goal posts/playing run outs when they both came out .Fair play you got a copy early . I do remember when i was after a copy, how little info most people knew about this in the 90`s re the repress/original .Think the internet`s been a great help rather then word of mouth.
-
Dyson's Faces Lp
Ha ha,as it`s Xmas,i`ll let ya off. Actually i prefer the colour Blue to Pink
-
Dyson's Faces Lp
Steve,i remember my mate buying the Pink/red label one (it was a reissue lol) and when we went throu it,there wasn`t much on it apart from Welcome to all this love again and Don`t worry about this jones (both very good tracks) which are on the Blue label copy.If you could highlight any others i might have missed, much appreciated. I still think the Blue one is the lp to get(even if it`s 2rd press),gonna stick me neck out here: there`s also 4 other really good tracks which you won`t find on the Pink copy: Till i`ve got this feelin of love. Cry Sugar. You and me. Try me baby. So m`lord,in this case,2rd press gets priority over 1st press
