  4. Here are some additional comments about some of the tracks/artists: ANN-LOUISE HANSON is a blonde, blue-eyed Swedish singer, but the male voice you hear on this song belongs to none other than Billy Preston. TIM MOORE is backed up on this track and the entire LP by the prime blue-eyed soulster IMO: Michael McDonald. You can clearly hear his golden tones in the chorus. CHICO-CHAC is a Danish group but some Swedish studio musicians are also involved here. There are two or three nice soul cuts on that LP of theirs. VIKKI CARR, the tune "Don´t Break My Pretty Balloon" is a Van Mcoy-composition. Who recorded the original, I need to know please?! THE LIMIT recorded some of the best soul music ever to come out of Holland. SPUTZ is from Canada and does a credible version of the Womack & Womack/Teddy P classic "Love TKO". HOFSTONE, most people´s favourite is a Swedish singer, composer, producer, musician etc, skinny and pale but sounds very black...lol... Used to be a member of a band called Family Tree. TIM MINER, the track included here was taken from a very solid album that he recorded for Motown in the 90´s. BILL CHAMPLIN was the guy who wrote "Turn Your Love Around" back in the day, a song made famous by George Benson. In the 90´s Champlin finally got to record the song himself. KULCHA is a Japanse group, crooning and smoothing just as good as their American male vocal harmony counterparts. J-FUNK, a track from Phil Driver´s latest Soul Unsigned album out now. Just like the first one, this second Blue-Eyed Soul mix was picked up on by this blogsite: https://druffmix.com/?tag=dj-melismo and a few others. And as always a more detailed playlist with format and label info is to be found over at Alex Subinas´s Soul Portrait site: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alexs4r/3542080086/ Am right now compliling tunes for a new mix which will be published shortly... Best, Melismo
  5. You said it yourself and you are right of course - lots of good stuff in there, 100% quality from all DJs involved! Interesting to find that the Pasadenas track fits in so nicely alongside the much older cuts. The only slight problem (and maybe it´s due to my computer and its erratic behaviour) the last few tracks were not included in the file I managed to download. If running time was supposed to be 2 hours then the last 15 minutes or so are missing I think?! Anyways, cheers for sharing those tunes Melismo, Sweden

  24. The CD was released in 2000 by Sequel Records, a division of Castle Music, it´a a UK product. Would love those tracks you mentioned, can PM you my address, thanks. Best regards, Mel
  25. Hi Bob! Thanks for the info. Have now listened to the entire interview, very interesting. I think the non-LP Curtom tracks are included on the following CD comp which I have in my collection and is listed with for instance Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Devil-Made-Me-Do/dp/...1238&sr=8-2 This comp was released in 2000 and Peter Burns wrote the liner notes. I have no 45s by the group, but I have the aforementioned CD comp + their two albums on original vinyl. I know the group is somewhat obscure, but I have loved their music since way back. In fact the first Stash LP was one of the first albums I ever bought. Best regards Melismo
