anyone know owt about a track called 'Try Them by Al Williams" my mate has played it down the phone tonight...from a tape he got. He reckons the only origonal vinyl format it can be purchased on is on grapevine. Its incredible, has it been played off an acetate, is it a cd track?? cheers in advance

Ive played it several times at home over the last few days and in all the years I've been collecting this record has had a profound effect on me, its as if its hypnotic. There is something very special about this record that I can't suss out yet.

we used to play the flip side at the Pboro all-nighters in 1975...great record.

Its a great nostalgia record for me, low ceiling venue, lots of little rooms with dodgy geezers with Brutus button down shirts, white sta press..200 on a dance floor that holds 100...the buzz when this kicked off I can still smell.# I guess I could buy Norman Greenbum-Spirit in the Sky.
