  6. surely somebody can tell me the manship finishing prices for this week......
  7. DINKED is the expression used by record manufacturers to describe a big centre hole...usually american presses...but not always
  8. seem to have lost my link so what did they finish at this week especially gene toones and johnny guitat watson....
  9. from speaking to rod at voices (some time ago mind) the solid centres were test presses he had 10 then the real issue (the dinked one) rod had a box of 25 only...the rest of the press went missing at a distributor and presumably got destroyed...they never ended up in japan thats why the big money modern soul collectors in japan still buy it we can make it happen was a run of 100 .....struggled to sell at the time.... flowers for real still makes my hairs run at the back of my neck...the arrangement and production is simply out of this world........DYNAMITE SOUL.....

love music what a super title..says it all really ..if it was rare easily a four figure record....worth every penny the guy really sings with conviction something that cant be said of every northern record....
  17. listening closely this seems very popcorn bland sounding....great strings and vocals just not very "black music sounding...." when compared to say the apollas/alice clark/margie joseph/ sounds very "mor" to me....asking around it seems like one of those records that people talk about but dont actually like ...is that down to rarity rather than quality.?? good luck to anyone who wants it though

he had a point simon!!! just like the ICE record that everyone raves about...listen closely u can see why it flopped or never went anywhere...totally pales into comparison with wyndchymes from the same period what do u reckon to sandy golden.......
  19. ya know it ......either that or fresh from the pressing plant!!!!!!!
  20. great record though hope u didnt pay too much shep?

i sold one last year 300 but have seen it this year for 250...
  22. i have a feeling that we will be seeing quite a few of these over the next year...i wouldnt be surprised if there are a few lurking in the american shadows right now as a good friend has been offered a copy last night.... bid with caution i,m certainly not in the running for this one....may the best millionaire win i still think its a very average record ... a nice one at that... but certainly not outstanding in any way shape or form
  23. its an alright record but nothing special..i remember searling playing it i think....cleared the floor..imo a very average record veering on the slightly boring....now then just get my bid ready butch paid 1000 us dollars for it i think on ebay but no doubt the info is on popsike
