Same could be said for so many records vibrations on that auction list being another. great oldie but a daft price. and as already been said sweet darlin how is that so much. I’ll be your champion I was found much harder to come across. Even that is probably not that hard to find.

I paid more than that for Robert sanders and also sold it for more than that. roughly double. magnetics is fantastic but that’s serious money like with most records of that calibre.

Didn’t know the three jades but it’s fantastic both sides. I can see how a record that good goes from a collectors obscurity with a reasonable price tag to a bigger money item.

The wane harrel is on youtube with a different image so its either been edited or its not a one off as stated in the auction ?

Yep I got this and Charles Carlson at same time. Charles was priced a little higher at the time. I guess they are all in collections now I’ll see how long it is before I see another just out of curiosity...

I like to look at the monthly eBay summary on here showing highest priced sales. I bet I am not alone in being shocked at some of the prices. every month pretty much without fail records I’ve baught cheap or sensibly are selling for very high prices. when I stopped buying I had half an idea I would start again when prices tumbled and assemble another small collection. That’s looking quite unlikely now. CD’s, online mixes and radio shows for me now.

I knew I get my groove first through the bobby Patterson and think it’s a great record. Bobby Shannon is good but is it really better ? I prefer the original.

If you can afford to put a bundle of a few 45s together from a seller its worth looking at ebay.com i always found on uk site that you would find the dregs or have to pay far more for the same record.

Fantastic record still seems a little undervalued compared to some.

Jimmy burns sounds the more polished to me but I like bobby James just as much. Nothing in it for me with these two. brand new faces is terrible

Same here another I got for next to nothing late 90s that now sells for silly money. Came out rob smiths shop.

Well that’s a bit of a surprise I got this late 90s and didn’t pay a lot for it probably about 20 quid. i appreciate the alternative flip variant is rare and expensive and also a fantastic record. I did try to get that also but never succeeded.

The jimmy church in same auction is awesome will be interesting to see what that goes for.

Just seen this as an auction item starting at 200. as much as I think it’s a great oldie surely this variant is very common and in the 20 to 50 quid ball park. the other version I hardly ever saw for sale that much but significantly rarer. what do others think ?

I think that statement can be applied to any week since the late 90s from my personal experience and probably for much longer in the experience of others. I can’t remember a week go by where a big hitter hasn’t been finishing in an auction. It’s a constant cycle. regarding Covid I was told today no hospital admissions in Leicester since lockdown was implemented again so was it necessary ? Is the virus mutating and weakening will it come back stronger ? i am remaining cautious and careful but feel ready to get back to normal now. large capacity sport crowds and nightclubs probably the 2 environments that carry the most risk IMO.

Agree.... It’s got to be a young persons playground. Once you settle down and have kids there is no way. for the price of the more expensive apartments I’d be buying a large house in the country side. not that long ago high rise tower blocks were being pulled down as failures. These aren’t the same but it does make you wonder.

I haven’t been to Manchester for a long long time but currently watching manctopia. It’s staggering how many luxury apartments are being built. has Corona slowed things down or is it still all systems go ?
