Great call on the robert tanner frank. His other megatone also has brilliant deep flip side. and the talmadge arnmstrong one you put me onto all those years ago and got me on the slippery slope of searching for this stuff.

The chess one isn't mega money I would guess 40GBP would get you a Ex copy. It has also been reissued on CD quite recently.

And the chess one is far better and relevant to soul fans. I think the fantasy one is a bit patchy and not her best work. The fantasy one also came out on another label and was titled "who's kimberly"

is "i'm loosing the feeling" a version of the kim tolliver LP track or even one that came out before KT ? i've not heard that one.

When I think of low rider I think of those gangster harmony CDs and all the graffiti on the covers. They must have played a part in kick starting all the current popularity as they have been aroud a long time now. I guess its a good thing if it gets younger people listening to soul music.

Add deep soul collectors to that statement as well. There soon won't be any left.

Tha Jimmy Bo Horne quantity mentioned here is food for thought when I first became aware of that record it was always touted arounnd the 1k mark and i'm sure shifty sold one for around 2k.

while we are in florida can I add for discussion little beaver "i'm a man / don't let it end this way" cat I think this is realy rare so would be good to know if this was also around in the past or not ? took me ages to find.

a bit of interest but nothing firm so bumping it up. this realy is a stunning mid paced florida soul anthem. bass line is immense its the whole package. maybe its too good

can you imagine a tezza promoted nighter everybody would be going home knackered after about 2 hours.
