  4. she did the new year special of jools holland a couple of years ago and to be honest it wasn't very good to me. I was listeniong wanting to hear her how she would have sounded at her peak and it was a big dissapointment. I hope she's imporved now for those that are going to see her. i'd rather listen to the records recorded when these people were at their peak.

i've heard about those lists but never seen any. Bet they make amazing reading. some of my best records have come from Japan. I once found some great old pictures of soul clubs in Japan in 60s or 70s on somebodies blog. Hitoshi had an amazing blog buts its gone now.....

  18. fantastic deep soul side but for me dan brantley does a better job of the "A" side. This one doesn't have the magic for me.

quite a few 45s have a male / female lead vocal who holds a scream for a long time. which is the best ? buddy grubbs at the end of his bell 45 is very good. I tried to keep the note and nearly passed out. Must say i only sing like this whne nobody else is around. kim tolliver is another....
  20. what a brilliant record prehaps his best. things like this don't stay a fiver forever. Coudle asily see this getting listed for 30 and upwards if it became in-demand like some of his others have. if you PM me your e-mail for paypal I will take it will send payment this evening.
  21. ballad side of ghetto children is realy good. I got a copy signed by some of the group of ebay for a very low price. About $10 or so...

sebastian williams seems to be a rarer record on the label but sells for much less and is a great double sider. certainly seen less copies of SW in recent years the the LT.
  23. Nev he did at least 2 on that label and also one called "fly away love bord" on a different yellow label. all 3 are good cheap records worth picking up
