nowadays at local soul nights there is a warming up period anyway before they venture onto the dancefloor wich gives the dj`s to play something different, or maybe its dutch courage

Hiya.......The snake is not in my play box but it will be the next time i DJ just to please who ever would like to hear it!! I am not a promoter either i DJ thats all,so i have no need to protect a venue i don,t have. And i certainly don,t want to play what every TOM...DICK...&....HARRY plays!! Its nice to hear something different.... and i like to play something different too!! I get sick of hearing the same old. And also i would like to hear the flip side of LMLFY. JB

I can see where your coming from Rachel i express my own personnal style when djin......so yes maybe some requests would,nt quite fit in. But i would aim to please if at all possible......i don,t ask for requests that often anymore,most of the dj,s i know......know what i like anyway so they get played for me. JB

Ok if asked for so many requests and saying i had them to play.... i would obviously wanna see the dancefloor busy!! Cos as a dancer myself thats what i would want too. So i would play the requests that would do just that........but apologise at the end of my set........by just saying sorry if i did not get to play your request. To me an apology is better than nought at all. JB

I,ve had a re-think on your question Kirsty.......and it should,nt matter what it is they,ve chosen to play in their set!! It is a request after all and if they told you they.ll play it then they should!! If i was requested the snake it certainly would,nt flow into my set i hate it with a passion but i would play it I would play a request so much so that i actually bought a record for someone cos she said she never hears it played out. And it just so happens that its an awesome toon so can,t understand why it don,t get played. I had,nt heard it before i have to say!! But glad its in my collection now. JB xx

Well i hate it when they say they,ll play it for ya....and they f**k*n don,t!!!!! Its happened loads of times.......and just recently last Friday night i wanted a special request for Poma who as you know passed away I had a go at ~ Chris King ~ for not playing it and he said he had,nt got the time to ...............i asked for this early in to his spot too, yet he played other requests that were asked for after mine!!!! Well i reckon the best you could do if you hate a certain record is not to put it in ya box but there again........i love to play requests..... and have to say that i would play a record i totally hated purely to please the person that requested it!! By the way Joan i love ~ Like my love for you ~ so if you do ever get it i,ll defo ask ya to play it for me JB xxx

Well we had the pleasure of knowing you Pomma for about the last two and a half years......of being back on the scene. Practically everywhere we went you would be there......so its going to be tough to have to come to terms with the fact, that we are not going to see your smiling face anymore!!
