Saw him at Lea Hall last Saturday,not dancing though,but he did have his own personnal photographer with him taking piccies of him on the decks

I get dissapointed when someone asks me for a request and i ain't got it in me box so last time i deejayed this chap was asking for this that an the other and i didn't have them,so told him to look through the box and pick summat out.Also i had a chap give me a track listing from a cd he had and fortunately i had quite a few of em,so chose one and played it for him. I know how frustrating it is when theres a particular tune you just wanna hear and the dj ain't got em.So the best thing i've found now is to look at what the dj's pulled up to play and choose something from them,if thes something you fancy,and that way its not detracting from what he/she intended to play anyway.

I asked a certain dj for a request the once, knowing full well that he had it in his playbox at the time,but he said why should i play it just to please one person on the dancefloor.So with that i said ok then don't play it,or words to that affect lol and went outside cos i was fuming and when i came back in i was told that he had played it whilst i was outside and that it filled the dancefloor.

What do you reckon???? If a promoter books an unknown DJ, and he or she does the buisness for em, which DJ do you think is more likely to be booked again??? DJ that accepts payment? DJ that refuses payment?

But IMO a professional DJ would be someone whose main job/source of income is from dj'ing.

But i don't consider it as a job

On a personal note I don't care if I get paid or not when I DJ, don't do it for the money and 9/10 I'd be at the venue as a punter anyway! If asked to travel a long distance to DJ then something towards the travel costs is nice but again I'm really not that fussed....
