(1st, 2nd, 6th & 7th) Anyway I was in bed feeling a little sorry for myself (bad stomach and headache), next thing you know Dickie played The Nomads and I'm dancing around the bedroom. Wife comes in and says "I thought you where dieing" The magic of Northern Soul. Dave.

  8. Jim, not seem Wayne for years. any idea what he is up to nowadays. Dave.
  9. The Radio 1 DJ that did the N S insight was Paul Bernett (name-spelling?). I have got the show on CD now, it was on tape. I did it with hand held mike to radio in my mum;s front room. and when the ice cream man goes down the street you can hear it in the backround. Dave.
  10. What is there to be embarrssed about (dancing to records ? ) It was just the same in Blackburn town centre when TSWONS was 1st shown at King George's. I have seen people do far more embarrassing things happen at nighters (me inclued) than just have a dance. Dave.
  11. No one said Colin was in Ms, if you read the earlier post Colin was quoted as saying "A oldies room this is the begining of the end"
  12. If he did, that would explain the bit about Mr Ms in a earlier post. It was the back end of 74 when Ms opened (1st Ann?) I think.
  13. But knowing Colin as I do, I think you might be right.
  14. Ian deff did at least two nights, about three weeks after it opened Oct 73 and again in Nov 73, 1st or 2nd sat. The Nov one he played David & Giants, most people waiting for "Superlove" and "Ten Miles High" came on.
  15. Our local record shop had a dinker machine, I had all my new records done back than. It seens a really cool thing to do at the time circa 1971-1973. Dave.
