Souled Out The Film
I know about the job, losing the Mecca etc, i still don,t think you went every week. I used to see you at Welcome inn, Sale Mecca, Socelys Blackpool (spelling ?) Darwin Tiffs during the week around that time. I had stopped going to Wigan Sept 75, didn,t go back till 78. P.S. I still love B. Pennington, E. Thomas and L. J. Johnson

Souled Out The Film
Yes Ian Javells(Nosmo King) was a big record in 74, but you there every week, i think not. After you did your D J set about Nov 73 at the Casino(Ten miles high etc played 1st time at Wigan). You very seldom was there, Les Cokell still went alot. Your adds in Blues & Soul for the Mecca showed what you thought of Wigan. I,m not a Wigan fan trying to put you down, cause i,ve said on here lots of time the Mecca was light years ahead of the Casino. By the way i still see Colin at least once a mouth. Dave.

Second Time Around For Forgotten Sounds
Hi Andy, good to see you out on Sat. Some great records on your list, but i don,t think Danny Reed has stood the test of time, also played Lilly Fields "Love has so many meanings" is another that time hasn,t been kind with. What about Eddie Horan "The ups and downs of a love affair" or Marc Coppice "Who can i turn to"

Opinions?
Hi Jane, the Barn in Accrington has been running Northern do,s for years without a licenced bar, even had Modern do,s this year Dave. x

Jimmy Thomas - The Beautiful Night - Parlophone
I was lucky to find two Parlophone demos in a record exchange in the early 70,s. But i was going to the football at the time, so i had them up my jumper the entire match.

Jimmy Thomas - The Beautiful Night - Parlophone
I was lucky enough to find two Parlophone copies in a record exchange in the early 70,s. The only thing i was going to the football at the time, so the whole match i had them up my jumper.

The LATE GREAT LINDA JONES- Worst Record Played On The Scene
I,m so glad i didn,t click on to listen what it was now- Worst Record Played On The Scene
Hi Beeks, alot of this is true, but even a good record you can grow to hate when you have it over and over again week after week year after year Dave- Your Favourite Modern Soul Choons ?
Funny how taste change, I remember Ginger getting Ty Karim back in the 70,s his quote "what the f**k is this its the wrong record" Towanda and T. D. played the other side in the 70,s Joi Cardwell one of my fav,s from the 00,s.- Worst Record Played On The Scene
Hi Andy, i don,t know about beat up but he hit her at Prestatyn! How bad it was it depends who told you about it the morning after Dave- Worst Record Played On The Scene
I don,t think F W is a bad record not like G Lewis, Joe 90, Footie etc. But it,s been hammered to death now for 31years, and i,m f**kin sick of hearing it. Granted its not normaly played on the Niter scene but always at a local soul night.- Old Monsters

Lets not forget "Too Many People"- Souled Out The Film
I agree with everthing you said but, almost nobody over the age of 20. The film is set in 1974 and there was still alot of the 20 and older still going to Wigan than. There were 9 lads from Accrington alone going than that age. - Best Soul Artists
