Mark ® I read your posts and I agree with some of what you say.. I have moved on maybe a bit slower than others but its a start. I have also in my previous posts put a link up to crazybeat records and Noel Mckoys - version of someday. which I think is a quality bit of soul. but listerning to the you tube clip.. there is no way on earth any one can say that this is a Northern Soul CD.. this isn't even soul its Crap.. the arrangments let the artists down.. if the backing on these cd's was as good as the artists I wouldn't think twice at buying it..

What Market is Ian Levine aiming for.. the album is called Northern Soul 2007 or some thing, but Ian must know what makes the Northern Scene tick.. love him or hate him he has been around long enough, to understand it.. if some one had played this album to him when he was younger what would he have thought... If you could actually hear the tracks in full it would only probably be the music and production side that lets it down. Ian knows how all this is important to the soul scene.. I don't mean this in a nasty have a go at him way but I wonder if he has lost the feel for real soul music. I imagine he even put some of hes own money into it.. which is a bit of a shame as I don't think he will be geting that back.. I wonder who he really thinks will buy this CD..

I bought a Noel Mckoy record from Crazy beat it's Diplomats Of Soul - Feat Noel Mckoy Someday - cover version of the Donny Hathaway classic, follow the link great voice.. https://www.crazybeat.co.uk/Noel-Mckoy.htm also a bit about him here.. https://www.soulwalking.co.uk/Noel%20McKoy.html I just think its a shame they just want to sing in the style they enjoy.. . Then some pants producer makes them sound silly, and hes mate videos them in the street or in the park so then they look silly as well.....

Afternoon all I was just reading Jo's Wallace's wants "Packin UP" and her and Linda are having a bit of an on line chat.. and I was going to but in, but thought i'd do it here so I can get other peoples views.. I'm sure a few of us on here have set ourselves price limits on records.. a few years a go.. not many my limit was £50 then I bought a copy of the Metros "since I found My Baby" for £85 this then pushed my limit up to a £100.. then a coouple of years ago I bought the Showmen "The Wrong Goirl Of John Mint Demo for £150 and a copy of Emporer of my baby's heart.. can't remeber the price now.. and i've had a few round the £150 mark.. Any way this week i've bought 2 records costing £200 each.. and i was wondering have you always kept a limit with the odd stray like me... or do you find yourself being pushed mentally because people around you are buying bigger tunes and you feel like you are being left behind.. The reason I ask this is I always have felt anyone with money can buy a blinding box of tunes.. but with less money you have to build a box of tunes. so don't want to know about your personnal finances just wondered if you had a limit.. do you sometimes feel that you need to buy bigger tunes cause other people do or like me do you just build on your box of tunes? Hope thats clear
