  1. Thank you, does for me too. I think one of my most prized out of these is the 'Leeds Central Dance club' membership card. This was one of the original cards before the ones with the badge on (also there), but this one I got signed by Gladys and Bubba Knight. Oh and signed 'Kim Weston' photo is ok too from when she played at 'HiFi' in Leeds a few years back.
  2. Hey! that's ok, I wanted a frameless frame, as it looks great on the wall. Thanks!
  3. Heheh! It is framed Boba, it on one of the fast frames with glass over it. Might put a piece of coloured satin behind it though, MMM???
  4. Been meaning to do this for years, but things kept getting lost and found again. Eventually I have got them all together and made a superb wall centre piece. It looks the dogs. Hope you like.
  5. Ok, I think the same, they ARE actors and they are playing a part BUT, don't you think the the music they are 'learning' and dancing to just might rub off on some of them? y'know? like it did to us when we first heard it and started to dance to it? I don't think that anyone, or not many, could possibly go through the making of a film about the music learning to dance, and getting to know the records, without coming out of the other end uninspired. I think that a few future Soulies will be born out of this lot.
  6. I'll up Staceys Dad's offer to £20 and stand being robbed
  7. MMM? Nope, but then again is that what I said? I was simply showing RobbK a copy of the bootleg as he said he didn't know about them.
  8. Think you might have made a BooBoo there :-)
  9. Here is a copy of the Bootleg, although not really a bootleg as the actual track was never released on 45, so actually a first press.
  10. Disco Source........ . No Disco Biscuits!
  11. I think many people and many DJs went from the Northern scene into the Disco and House scenes when Northern got too mainstream being played on Radio 1 etc. It was a natural progression, and the Rave scene in particular when it hit in the late 80s bore more than a slight resemblance to the Northern scene of the 60s and 70s. What with people traveling miles to get to the clubs, popping sweeties and dancing all night.
  12. Definitely 2 of the best underplayed 'Disco' records ever.
  13. WOW! Excellent, thank you for the info. What do you think of the track? I also got this at the same time. Again I know it's a re-press, but what a great tune. Cost me $14 +P&P
  14. WOW! 86 views and no replies? can anyone help?
  15. Just bought this from the states for $8. Really nice, and I know it is a re-press as the seller told me, but does anyone know it's history? Original label, ect.? and maybe your thoughts on the tune itself? Thank you Update, just found this on Youtube
  16. excellent, that's at least 2 then LOL! Where did you got yours from? Was it the Torch?
  17. Excellent, I would say that you are VERY knowledgeable on the subject. Thank you
  18. I don't know, I wouldn't mind finding out though.
  19. Heheh!! yeah, I know apparently one went on the bay for over £200, not sure if it was this type, but this IS one of the original ones, and more rare than the embroidered ones cos as you said Pete, many just threw them away.
  20. Just wondering if anyone else has seen one of these white 'Torch' badges? I got it at the 'Torch' but never seen another white one, all the ones I have seen have been the normal black design. Obviously there must be more white ones out there, but not seen another one recently.
  21. Ultra Rare Original 3rd Anniversary 'Wigan Casino' cloth badge on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310514209271?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  22. I have to agree. In the good old days before the internet, you had to rely on lists, sellers and going to events to find what you wanted. Now all you have to do is to surf the net. It has taken a lot of fun and excitement out of collecting. Good idea by the way, but it will never happen again, I think a lot of collectors have got lazy and would just prefer to sit at a computer looking for the tunes, me included I hate to admit. After all we are getting on a bit and it's the easier option, and to be perfectly honest, you didn't/don't get many sellers at events that don't know what they are selling and don't know how much they are worth, unlike many on eBay etc., so grabbing a bargain would be a harder task.
  23. 2 Kiki Dee albums just gone on Ebay. Both Mint- Condition! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310514151496?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310514151666?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  24. It wouldn't suprise me to be honest. I think that 'Music Stack' have more of a monopoly now after the takeover of 'Netsounds'.
  25. No, what I was meaning by look for negative feedback, is negative feedback from buyers, not sellers. If someone had experienced the same problems as a buyer, maybe bought something that was not as described, and complained to the seller with no result, they can leave negative feedback. Sorry if the post was confusing. It's age related
