About The Event

Hi everyone and welcome to the first Banbury Soul Club event of 2022.

Saturday 12th March 8pm to 12.30am.

We are back and raring to go. Playing the new tunes we have accumulated during the lockdowns.

Please make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment for only £5.

Anyway, onto the night itself.

As always the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment.

Charlie, Steve, Tom and Dave the resident DJ’s will be playing their own selections of danceable soul music to guarantee a brilliant night.

Expect to hear sounds from the last 50 years covering all genres, tempos and styles.

I’m sure you will agree this is going to be a brilliant night of soul music with something to satisfy all soul lovers.

In summary this will genuinely be a “something for everyone” evening.

So make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment for only £5.

For those who have not been to the venue before the Banbury United Clubhouse has recently been refurbished, along with the free car park immediately outside the clubhouse.

With a raised stage, main wooden dancefloor and with seating and tables on both sides.

Another plus is its all on ground floor level with no stairs to contend with.

Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout and how it’s ideally suited for a night of soul music.

Some people were still having difficulties finding The Banbury United Clubhouse location.

Unfortunately SatNavs will only get you part of the way.

The only access to the club is by way of the Station Approach road.

After turning into Station Approach the main railway station, train drop off point and taxi rank is immediately on the left.

You need to take the narrow roadway on the extreme right to find the Clubhouse and follow this road all the way to the ground.

The clubhouse is approx. 0.5 miles down this road.

Turn right into the Clubhouse car park which is well lit.

If you do get lost the taxi drivers are usually very helpful and will point you in the right direction.

Pay on the door is still only £5.00.

    What a superb evening this was. 4 great djs playing a great mixture of across the board (with a leaning towards classics/60s) and a very decent dance floor, which was busy most of the evening. Great to see so many faces from the now defunct Bicester event on the floor.

    The venue is very dark, which I feel lends to a great atmosphere. 
    Our carload was buzzing heading home. Looking forward to the next one already.
