An exciting project we have been working on over the Summer has come to fruition

Reigniting those dancefloor moments on what is one of the best dancefloors in the area

Our opening night was planned to be EXTRA special & sure enough it is !!

 

We are so pleased to welcome back the return of one of the co originators of Macc Soul Club..

ASHLEY FELLOWS...there isn’t much Ashley doesn’t know about filling that fantastic dancefloor at the Masonic..he spent years cultivating the ‘art’ Speaking to Ashley he is really looking forward to getting on those turntables again and importantly revisiting friendships forged since its inception all those years ago...WELCOME BACK ASHLEY !!

 

 

When it comes to IN DEMAND DJ’s they don’t come more sought after than the one and only TED MASSEY. It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome Ted on our special opening night...Ted is well known for ‘delivering’ not just what the dancers want but also what the night needs....a consumate professional widely loved and admired EVERYWHERE .We have a special dancefloor here at Macclesfield Masonic Hall...and Ted knows what to do with it !!..You can take that to the bank !!! .

    Have to give  Paul Dale Jez Jones and Geese a great big well done. Yes, this Venue is too good to lose. Good on you all for reviving it. Musically you didn't disapoint. All of you played something different to each other. Turnout wasn't shabby either. 20 short of a banging night. 👌. You've got over the first hurdle. DJ selection will be key going forward. I did my usual ditzy roundabouts trick coming and leaving. Though going home I did find M60 lol. Oh lost my car in the carpark haha. Roadtrips oh how I've missed them.

    Many thanks for all who attended our first event at the masonic for silktown soul club on Friday. I was just such a nice feeling to bring old friends and regulars from the days of Macclesfield soul club at the venue. Obviously there is a lot of love for this venue and fond memories to be cherished. In re-establishing the venue we set out to offer a quality northern souls night in a wonderful venue, our first night really did that. 

    The residents had dancers up and at it from early doors but when former promotor Ashley Fellows took to the decks proceedings moved to the next level. Ashley really does know this crowd and really delivered a top notch set full of dancefloor detonators. Next up we had Ted Massey from the west Midlands, Ted's reputation goes before him and he showed he's still right on top on his game offering us music the very few others own. The evening was brought to a close by the able residents, myself, jez Jones and Paul Dale who kept the floor busy till close. 

     

    We hope you can join us on the 1st November at this great venue when Macclesfield soul club legends mopsey and foxy join us!

    Macc is back !!!!!

    Just a quick review and 'lookback' at our opening event night at Macclesfield Masonic Hall......WOW !! we were overwhelmed with the support.

    Many travelled from out of the area to experience that 'familiar' vibe they got over the years when it was Macclesfield Soul Club

    So a BIG thank you to ALL ....

    We really do appreciate your support

    Praise also our guest DJ's Ashley Fellowsand Ted Massey...who (as expected) blew 'the bloody doors' off playing EXACTLY what was needed.....creating a vibe that is particularly unique to them.....thanks chaps...appreciate the support.(really we do)..and hopefully next year we can 'do it all again'

    A mention of course to our hosts the Macclesfield Masonic Hall ....thanks to Phil and his team for your advice.guidance and support and great hospitality on the night !!

    A really positive and responsive crowd added to the enjoyment of the evening...50 cd's went to 'good homes' ..and THAT dancefloor was hammered with 'Full on Northern Soul' !!!!

    Thanks to my fellow 'amigos' Paul Dale and Geese Sveikatus for working on it from the 'B of Bang !! '

    NEXT UP !!...oh yes theres more .......................!!! Nov 1st !!!!
