You could sense it !! It well and truly NAILED it !!! No one was left in any doubt....'Full on Northern Soul for the dancefloor' wasn't just a gimmicky catchphrase !!! It was 'true to form' ' Deano one of the original DJ's at the Masonic Macc Soul nights states ''.................as the numbers poured in....memories of past Macclesfield days as those Souls danced right up until 1am, nearly turning into a Niter😉lol.'' High praise indeed from someone who was there....and helped create the phenomenally successful Macc Soul Club !!! A massive thank you to ALL who came..we understand barriers some of us have to overcome, travelling , distances, family commitments., health.....and the list goes on.....So we doubly appreciate all your efforts in getting here and supporting the night ...really we are overwhelmed with your support ....and you being there creates that never to be forgotten Macc Soul Club vibe !! it really does I dont have to say much about Mopsey and Deano..except to say.....a promoters dream...these lads along with Ashley have been so supportive to us in getting a night back on Masonic 'grounds' What do I mean 'promoters' dream ?....Well when those lads got on the decks...Geese Paul and me could have gone home for brew!! They know eaxcly what to do, exacly what the Masonic crowd expects...wind them'then let them go..........and whooooosh !!!! Oh and thanks chaps !!! for that impromptu last half hour to send everyone home with a smile on their faces..............BRILLIANT !! Our great hosts The Masonic and all its fabulous staff were again so welcoming.....thanks ladies...you were stars !!......hospitality personified !!! Reflecting back after the event ...Geese Paul and myself ..to a man..agreed it was the best 'true' northern soul night we'd been to in a while....and it wasn't a case of 'you would say that wouldn't you....we put this on.. and treat it as out night out as well....we're just like everyone else....wanna go out on a Friday night and have a 'beltin night out' ..its not too much to ask lol !! Next one !!! ?????????????? Yes thats our next job....we'll be on the case rapido...and get some dates sorted..and get em out there... we are aware there are numbers of you that haven't been able to make these last two...hopefully we'll see you when we get some 2025 dates announced and planning can begin Thanks again....Your Soul Night out at the Masonic ...is in safe hands !!! Longin The Tooth November 4, 2024Nov 4 2 of 2 members say helpful 2 / 2 members Well this weekend started off with a visit to Macclesfield, which was last visited under the previous promoters Mopsey and Foxy. There was some apprehension as feedback from Part 1 was that it was not being well attended We arrived early and initially there was a lack of attendees, but this gradually increased as the night went on. Also as the night improved with attendees the music did with a good mix of music along with the floor improving over the length of the night. The music was a mixture of underplayed tunes and some of the popular ones by all of the DJs I would like to add that if the increase in attendees continues then Macclesfield should return to it's halcyon days(fingers crossed)
