The same team that brought you the Manchester European Soul Weekender back in 2010 - 2013, proudly presents to you the inaugural Home Run Soul Club Weekender!
3 days and 3 amazing venues situated on the Oxford Road corridor, a beating heart of Manchester's City Centre. From Grade ll listed buildings and basement clubs, to exclusive rooftop terraces all within 300 yards of each other... Home Run Soul Club Weekender is shaping up to be one of the finest on the planet!
All the venues are within 2 mins walking distance of each other!
A stone’s throw from Oxford Road Train Station and opposite our main venue (literally across the road), Revolution Oxford Road has been a keystone of the Manchester music scene and it's where our Weekender begins, upstairs in the private bar, full wooden floor throughout with a bespoke sound system installed for your listening and dancing pleasure. A perfect intimate setting to kick things off!
2pm - 7pm - Saturday Day - YES (38 Charles Street, Manchester. M1 7BD)
The day will take place on the roof terrace of YES. Think NYC/Brooklyn bar with views across the city. A covered bar area with glass roof and a terrace to stand outside and smoke your cigs in the Manchester rain.
Our jewel in the crown, the Refuge. The venue where we hold our residency, Home Run Soul Club! The Refuge is simply stunning! there's no other way of describing such a unique and historic building. Located within the iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel (formally the Palace Hotel), this Grade ll listed space features a grand, industrial age interior with soaring ceilings, intricate tiling and warm lighting that creates a welcoming, yet a blow ya socks off vibe!
Saturday evening till late, we move down a level to the unique 1960s style club space in the basement of the Refuge. It has that cosy feel of walking into a great old English cellar boozer, but with the added bonus of a full wooden dance floor, low ceilings and our pin-sharp bespoke sound system that has fast become known as one of the best on the scene.
If that's not enough, the club creates its own Home Run Soul Club beer for our events which is available on tap in collaboration with Seven Brothers Brewery.
2pm - late - Sunday Day: Farewell drinks Refuge Main Bar in colab with Can You Dig It (CYDI) - (Oxford Street, Manchester M60 7HA)
