Jerry Ganey and Tommy Raye, but I'm think I've heard a girlie-ish version.

Am I right?

Ike & Tina Turner

I've got a great version by Gene Thompson and the Counts on Ace (blue label)....believe it was one, if not the last release for the Ace label

Credited as written by The Counts .....

We also have a version on Sun Records by Don Hosea which is a great r&b type tune. It was written by Wille Cobbs.

Taf.

The original is by Bo Diddley, on Checker. For some reason, it's called "She's Fine, She's Mine" (words which doon't actually feature in the song, but there you go...)

Can't dance to it, but what an incredible record! It's on the other side of "Diddley Daddy"...

The version that the Studio 1 Rocksteady cut by Dawn Penn is based on is the one recorded here by former Waker Brother Gary Walker, on UK CBS (also issued on US Date).

The Megatons' "The Shimmy Shimmy Walk" on Dodge (or Checker, or UK Sue) is an instrumental of YDLM.

Let's also not forget that Larry Davis' "I've Been Hurt So Many Times" is s derivative of YDLM, too...

That's probably enough YDLM for now...

Dick Jensen and the Imports on Loma is pretty good.
