I'll shortly be taking a visit to the old hometown of Doncaster, and I was wondering if Snowy's "Backtrack Records" shop is still there on Copley Road?

no it shut about 18 months ago............................. f**k all in donny now shop wise

He sells on Ebay and of course DJs in Donny and at......Whitby.

Yep, Doncaster was pretty ropey when I lived there 12 years ago but now..... JEEZ!!!!

Shortly after he closed the shop , I spoke to Bill ( Snowy ) about the reason for him doing so . His answer was simple : it was down to the rising cost of rates , rent , and utility bills . He had been successfully selling on eBay for several years , and in the light of the economic constrictions , it was the logical step to ply the shop's trade on the internet .

Backtrack was one of the " last shops standing " : it will be missed .
