Another great track from a Modern CD a friend gave me, i have no info on the CD

What label did this come out on & was it a 12" / 7 & a price , & scan if possible [ dont want much really:D]

7" orig came out on Hy Tide then reissued on Ted Jarrett's T Jaye label.

Hy Tide is rarer, T Jaye should be quite easy to pick up.

Also came out in UK on MOVE records

lp move in to soul part 2. the track listing is all acock. track 1 is really track 2 etc.

Hello Mark, I remember Move they were from Edinburgh and put out a lot of indies that had become popular with the modern crowd at the time, this one included.

Generally I found the sound quality on Move releases to be not so good though....better off with a US original :hatsoff2:

Hi mate.I have a battered first issue on Hy-Tyde.Never had one untill last year it came up on ebay,had to have it and did,nt pay too much for it!Tremendous tune.I have no idea how much a first issue sells for but I think it is a very hard one to get.Regards Tim.

One went on ebay a few weeks ago and i think from memory it went for about £30-40

A lot of the T Jaye copies came to the UK at the time of release. Hi Tyde did as well but was only ever in limited quantity. So it's one of those like David Sea on Crown Intl or Roy Dawson on Coemands, which are far easier to find in the UK, than in the US. I agree it's a lovely tune. Cheap too. Now if it had a northern beat.....:rolleyes:
