September 13, 201014 yr I have a British copy somewhere, i have just had a look on disogs & the information regarding the the British release names a certain Pete Waterman as A&R co-ordination, so if its " pete burns" mate then it could have been remixed from the original label when it went big.
September 13, 201014 yr Author They must have re-mixed it for the 12", but the 45 sounds generally different somehow to how I remember any of the Cleveland Eaton releases. On a side note, I spoke to Cleve when I was in Alabama, he is not well at all, fighting cancer. I wanted to talk to him about his time in Chicago working at Chess, but he wasn't up to it. Once again Ian Levine was the first to bring it to everyone's attention back in the day '74/75 in his Black Music column.
