FROM OUR LAST TRIP SEPT 2009 AFTER THE BROOKLYN SOUL FESTIVAL.

We went for a meal at his favouritee Chinese restaurant then toured North & West Philly . He showed me the site of clubs his father frequented, his home as a child, his old workplace Chips Distributors, the former site of Frank Virtues studio & a host of other sites off the beaten track..

I'm so sorry to hear that Weldon passed away. He was a great guy. We had so much fun in the studio and on stage. He stayed in touch. Lately I hadn't heard from him. I will surely miss him

The very first real Northern Soul record I ever heard was a WMCD deal, Groovin' at the go go - Alan S was playing it on my first visit to the Cats at Wolverhampton Have to say I've fallen in love with "Another chance", "Rain" & Uptown re-recording of "Unbelievable" since then.
