(postponed) Steve Mancha Tribute In Detroit On January 23

A tribute and remembrance performance for Clyde will be held on Sunday, January 23 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Northern Lights Lounge, 660 W. Baltimore Ave, Detroit (313) 873-1739. Many friends including Melvin Davis, McKinley Jackson, Pat Lewis, Buddy Smith, Joey Kingfish, and Cody Black will be performing. Proceeds will go to Clyde's mother and brother to help offset his medical expenses.

What a fabulous tribute line-up. Is the performance going to be recorded?

Please scratch "My Love Is Strictly Reserved For You" from Brad's post. I know that's a Robert Ward tune. That's a rough draft for an obituary to be printed in the local weekly... I should have reread and corrected the thing before I sent it out to my pals. Wish you all could be at the tribute for Clyde. We'll try to have someone film it so we can share with everyone who can't attend. Melvin Davis is actively involved in assisting Clyde's mom deal with all the arrangements. Funeral details coming soon.

After a discussion with Melvin, we've decided to postpone the Steve Mancha tribute. There are some other folks in town planning a similar event and we want to avoid any potential conflict. I will post any details about the other event as I get them. We are planning to do another show later this year to help raise funds for a tombstone for Clyde.

Please let us know about this well in advance and ill try and get some fans to fly over to new york to support this,wanted to do the 23rd show but business committments etc but good notice would ensure some britis could perhaps come over-certainly know a few people who would possibly make the trip with me.

Sometime in the summer would be a better time for a show like this.... the weather would be more pleasing, to say the least.... it's 5 degrees Fahrenheit right now, not very pleasing at all.
