3 of Bettys songs can sum this up.

1.The Underbidder -" Almost".

2. The Seller- "I feel glad all over".

3. The winning bidder - "You'll wake up wiser".

Craig.

Got mine in a trade for about a fiver......

Never heard anyone play it until I started playing it at Mod do's in 1998..... then the price steadily rose to about £25.

£179..... someone wants there bloody lumps feeling.

WOOF!

Kolla bought this for me for my birthday....thats love man!

Anyone know state of play for the Sharon Jones version? I spoke to one of the Daptones reps at the jazz cafe and they said it might be on her next album, but no info about the 45....

Al, I remember Butch playing this for the first time down the 100 Club and flipping out. I told him politely where to go when he told me it was Sharon Jones. I just couldn't believe it. It's tremendous. I asked Keb at the time that I wanted one and he said there would be demos out in a few months. They never appeared.

They HAVE to release it on 45. It's a travesty not to.

With regards to the Betty LaVette. I remember Roger Banks selling one a year ago for £30. And I thought the price had gone up then. Great tune tho.

Cheeyaz Matt. I seem to remember someone tellin' me that Keb produced that version for a Sony TV advert in the States, and he made about 15 copies for his pals...only a rumour tho'.

How about another one for the winning bidder?

"Kiss My Wad Goodbye"!
