Is there anyone who can explain why some of the records issued wit a ZTSC matrix sometimes are macine stamped ,while others are simply scratched into the dead wax?

My copy of the Profiles "Take a Giant Step is scatched in and unusually is made out of vinyl instead if the usual styrene.

Edwin Starr S.O.S is machine stamped on the A side while I Have Faith in You is scratched in.

Any info on these matrix stamps would be greatfully appreciated

while there's one or two articles on web about matrixs etc doesn't seem to be a lengthy all in article anywhere

if all who got any info, scraps , trivia, articles on the whole subject could throw it up here, then could have a go at putting together a worthwhile article that would cover all the stuff and be a usefull reference/info for all

be them someone fresh to vinyl bug or the seasoned vinyl freak
