thanks thought that was the case as i had dusty whats it gonna be on both a few years back and kept the black one, thought there had to be a reason.

try blue, because every black copy I've had has a slight static distortion on the lows & highs as a pressing defect. :thumbsup:

Reason why I said if it plays ok? took me a few copies of "Love Love Love" before I got a one that played without distortion too!

So Blue issues are same as Black with Philips? always thought Black Philips were earlyer, guess I was wrong, appreciate the info, ta :thumbsup:

of course blacks are earlier but when this was in the usa charts and it was in for 6 months black turned to blue so the last few orig copies are blue........................simples

or it is in the case of this 45................. black issue from 1960 odd to mid 67 then blue was phased in so any record on philips that was selling well at that time naturally transgressed

I recently picked up amongst some others I was offered , a mint blue issue for £3 .

the uk issue is blue john. made no 12 in the charts usually with a 3 pronged push out center
