April 14, 201114 yr Odd-looking label too Pete! Lettering makes it look Spanish or Italian, but I assume it's US??
April 14, 201114 yr Author Odd-looking label too Pete! Lettering makes it look Spanish or Italian, but I assume it's US?? No mate, it's from PERU !!! Saw it on ebay a few weeks back, checked what a US one was worth (think it was £100) so paid a lot less for this one, it just looked interesting. Think I could claim it to be the "only known copy" on this label? Snappy little dancer too.
April 14, 201114 yr Unusual and really lovely! Don't know of it, but I'm sure it would be right to call it an 'only known', if no others have turned up.

Was a Stafford tune or at least it did get spins there and Morecambe as I recall. I can only think that one must have been half out of the sleeve when they drilled them? Does it still cue in OK?

Yeah, it's 2 or 3 grooves away from the start, don't even notice it at all to be honest. Found a short clip of it. edie walker.mp3
April 14, 201114 yr I'd rather have a drill hole in the run-in than the run-out as one of my atlantic 45s has. Every time I play it I have to run to the record player to save the needle at the end.
Bizarre...
