It's £30 now. Bet it goes higher. I can't figure out why anybody buys stuff like this at this price. For £30 you could buy a mint original of something which is just as good musically.

ebay is littered with destroyed records this week

I've had a few bargains on records with NAP hairlines. If I wanted this 45, I'd probably bid on it.

I've owned 'hairline crack' records for 25+ years and not had a problem with them. A crack is just a condition matter like a scratch. It may or may not make the record skip or unplayable. Some cracks can get worse but there are ways to shore them up depending on the type of crack. If you can get a decent playing copy for a bargain, why not?

In its time, admittedly, a brilliant record, but is this just another example of the must-have mentality for some over-played worn-out oldie?
