Just been talking to John Baxter who told me James Fountain passed away yesterday (sat) can anyone confirm ? I knew he was very ill and thats why he could not perform at fleetwood anyone seen anything else ?

Yes ... it was posted on the Detroit forum on 14th November that he had passed away.

No other details though.

I regret to confirm the reports are true. James Fountain was found dead at his home in September.
