Having sold up 5 years ago and emigrated to Canada I had to have a hobby so decided I would collect Ric Tic, Golden World and Wingate white labels. That was the plan but I didnt realise I would be finding so much quality vinyl.

Onto my question:

I have 27 of the 45 Ric Tic releases on white label promo but I seem to have a gap between 120 and 128. Can any body confirm if these were released on white label. I once had 125 - Willie G on promo but this was the blue label with promo on it in black.

Thanks

Thanks Rotherham

I have titles and numbers but have a gap from 120 to 128 where I have never seen white label promos.

Can any one confirm they exist?

hi been collecting ric tic for many many years but like you have not found white lables of those numbers hope it helps john

Dear Rotherham,

Have seen the following "listed" as W/Demos on various lists over the years....

120 - Edwin Starr - My Kind Of Woman / You're My Mellow - 1966

121 - Fantastic Four - Can't Stop Looking For My Baby / Just The Lonely - 1967

123 - Al Kent - The Way You Been Acting Lately / Instrumental -1967

The first 2 I have seen myself (although not managed to aquire them yet).

I tried to validate the 123 with that nice Mr Ovenchip who had it on a list in the early 90s. He told me he had sold it to Carl Fortnum for 30 quid! (I have not seen this personally). Be aware that there is also a "dodgy" white label pressing of this 45).

I believe there are W/Demos of the others knocking around but it's just a hunch. For some strange reason they seem to be few and far between. If you do locate any of them, I'd appreciate an update as I too am still trying to complete.

Regards,

Dave
