How do i tell the original wd from the boot ? is there anything in the dead wax ?

This is the Stock Copy that I have, It is on Vinyl & has the "Bell Sound" Matrix Stamp

On my copy there is a "1" Stamped Opposite the Matrix 180 Degrees away.

I don't know if different pressing plants are Involved, I suspect that there are.

I do know that there is a Counterfeit on a White DEMO.

I have a copy of that somewhere.

Mine has bell stamp at bottom n 1 at top too also engraved I think it says rskm 7187-2a or similar any idea in price for a vg+ wd that plays a1 ?

My mate had a copy for turned out to be a boot! He played it out for years as well.

There are hundreds of boots out there , seems to be one on ebay every week

It's a real shame the bootleggers "did a number" on this classic

Does the wd boot have bell stamp plus 1 at the top then ?

a mate just gave me a dusty box of 45`s from a house clearance..its full of pop stuff n crap.. but stuck in the middle was a copy of this on uk stateside..which is nice

Surely he should of been alerted to the fact it was a boot when the ceiling fell in each time he played it :)
