I sold a few items on ebay recently. one bidder won 3 items. i sent the invoice off and i have not heard one word since.

The items finished on the 24th November. 20 or so days have passed and my 3 emails reminding the top bidder have gone unanswered.

I would like to relist the items to be honest. Are there any implications i should be aware of or shall i just go for it?

Send him one more email telling him you're going to leave negative feedback if he doesn't respond in 24 hours, then do that, and claim your fees back off ebay because then they will be after him as well. If he says he will leave retaliatory negative, just say 'so what' and carry on. Who was it anyway, someone we know? If it was me, I have a valid excuse...

its someone with only 1 point on ebay. name was 'burnett' or something. i aint too stressed as the total value is only about 25 quid. i suppose i could offer to the 2nd bidder.

Shanus my old mucker, as Pete says, am I right in thinking unless you do report him to Ebay, you'll be hit with paying their slice of the winning bid, even though he or she hasn't paid??

File an "Unpaid Item Dispute" against the winning bidder. This usually acts as a good kick-ass method to make these people pay. If they still haven't paid after 10 days, add them to your blocked bidder list, and then leave them negative feedback.

Unless you've made a second chance offer to someone else, you can reclaim your Final Value Fees having followed these procedures.

DON'T leave it too long though. You'll eventually get to a point (I think it's about 30 days after sale) when you won't be able to go through the non-paying bidder procedure, and therefore won't be able to claim back E-bay's commission.... A while after that - (90 days?) the item won't be listed any more, and you won't be able to leave feedback either - !!! - I know these things as I got a right royal shafting on a motorbike I sold a while back. High bidder kept in contact for ages with quite reasonable excuses about his car failing an MOT, then he was buying a new van and would collect....Blah Blah Blah. At the end of the day, and due to me waiting for the money before settling my credit card bill - it eventually cost me between £40 - £50 - So I was NOT best pleased! Albeit it some of that was my fault! - Still money I would have preferred to spend on records than just throw into the air for the sheer fun of it!
